partnerships across the Middle East area resulted in winning substantial eight-figure

 Hired as senior sales manager and promoted to sales director within 6 months.

Chief Commercial Officer

ASCC, Arab Submarine Cable Co., Arab’s first submarine fiber optic cable operator, was setup to build and operate MEF, Middle East Fiber, private terabit cable system connecting the middle east region with the rest of the world.

• Building the business model and case; Creating the baseline; Understanding and testing the markets which ASCC will serve such as Saudi, Sudan, Levant, & Egypt.
• Set the company's strategic direction, & plans.
• Establish the Basics: Determine Vision & Strategy, Build an Org. Chart; Building the Platform: Communicate Vision & Strategy externally & internally, Build Basic Capability, Build the network, & Select the right partners.
• Prospected, initiated and successfully concluded a strategic partnership with Cable consortium to co-build the wet segments from Jeddah to Catania. This significantly reduced the capex requirements which will give the company a competitive edge over its competitors. This has reduced the cost of the submarine part by 50% and reduced the total capex requirements by 35%.
• Prospected, initiated and successfully concluded a strategic partnership with planned cable in Asia to seamlessly integrate the two networks to achieve building a single intact network that expands from Singapore in the east; to Europe in the west. This approach has a great value in terms of expanding ASCC coverage globally and also the Asian cable will use ASCC network to connect to ME, and Europe. The expected traffic from this Asian cable should secure at least 50%-60% of the ASCC forecasted transit traffic.
• I had the opportunity to work closely with the top operators in the region and at the highest level such as Etisalat, Du, Mobily, Etisalat Misr, Vodafone; that's in addition to my old and long- standing clients such as Telecom Egypt, Orascom Telecom, Pakistan Telecom, Saudi Telecom, Jordan Telecom, MoPT Lebanon, and STE.

• Drive the entire sales process, from initial contact to present the proposal to customers, business model, contract development, and contract signing -subsequently control project execution through project development groups in close co-operation with project managers and engineering groups.

• Initiated and managed major account relationships, negotiation at all organisational levels - engineering, engineering management, and executive level - such organisational penetration is a vital part of my job. My customers grow to be my friends, and I gain respect and trust at all levels.
• Stimulated the demand in Egypt, the Egyptian market has grown 22, 700% (227-fold) between 2002 and 2007; increased the FLAG market share in Egypt from less than 30% to more than 90% in one year and successfully maintained such an extremely high market share for over 5 years.
• Successfully executed the company's first entry into Pakistan, and achieved 40% market share in less than 2 years.
• Initiated and successfully concluded the landing agreement for FLAG new project (FALCON) in Egypt as well as the seamless integration between FLAG existing cable FEA and the new planned cable FALCON; This was the major milestone in the FALCON project which opened door for many pre-sale contracts. The major pre-sale contract for FALCON was in my terrority -Saudi Arabia- worth US$60M.
• Successfully managed to convert most of the major contracts from lease to ROU when the company was in Chapter 11 and needed a huge amounts of cash. A big thanks to my loyal customers who helped us to emerge from Chapter 11 in less than a year which clearly demonstrate that the relationship with my customers remains very, very strong and the level of trust has never been higher…
