Main Tasks: □ Designed and oversaw the implementation of livelihood projects in remote areas of Lebanon, focusing on construction, irrigation, and community building. □ Reviewed change proposals in construction scope or methods, providing recommendations for justified time extensions. □ Led the design and supervision of the refurbishment of Beirut offices during the program close out.

Main Tasks: □ Oversee and assist with the generation of a full bill of quantity for the four main trades of the building (architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical works), and at later stage supervise their proper execution. □ Develop the seismic design of the building generated with ETABS computer software and make sure all outputs are consistent through hand calculations. □ Design and implement a 185 cubic meters water reservoir below the foundation level and making sure the structure is up to ACI-318 code and AASHTO standards.

Main Achievements: □ Ensure the construction of 6 water reservoirs in Mount Lebanon, starting from the design stage to the implementation and the hand-over, in a very limited timeline. In addition to preparing a detailed plan to continue through phase 2 of the project with the construction of 4 additional tanks. □ Developing and presenting in the monthly coordination meetings a refugee influx and concentration charts highlighting on the areas in need of a bigger scale of assistance. □ Initiated and contributed in the endorsement of BOQ guidelines to serve all actors in the area as a baseline for their approach on the shelter rehabilitation activity.
Main Tasks: □ Chair the monthly Beirut/Mount Lebanon shelter working group involving the coordination between all actors working in the area and making sure all interventions are implemented harmoniously. □ Supervise and monitor the implementation of the school rehabilitation projects making sure all works are done as per Donors recommendations and adhering to allocated budgets. □ Confirm that all interventions and activities are fully compliant with SPHERE standards and UNHCR procurement procedures.

As Site Civil Engineer on the Kempinski Summerland Hotel and Resort, I have been exposed to many challenging duties. With the project reaching a contract value of more than 200 million US dollars. Having 8 subcontractors, my duties are mainly handling the internal coordination and proper practice of the communication channels for all relevant parties. I was also in charge of supervision of the waterproofing subcontractors who had a large part to play covering three large pools and 17 outdoor Jacuzzis. Moreover, I was responsible of the engenderment of variation and change orders as well as convoking negotiation meetings with the Engineering Consultant and Client representative. Other responsibilities included the preparation of the new offices space layout and the planning of the move without disturbing the workflow

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, I handled Construction Cost Estimation, mostly of residential buildings in Lebanon and of industrial facilities in the Arab gulf countries. My duties mainly consisted on preparing cost estimate sheets, generating bills of quantities, project scheduling on primavera or MS Project, as well as preparing site layout plans and in particular the infrastructure design for electrical substations along with their respective detailed cost estimates. I also partook in the subcontractors and suppliers assignment process. For further estimation accuracy, I liaised with the site engineers to make sure correct material wastages and hard workmanships are accounted for. Also, my job required high attention to details, assuring that all embedded items are accounted for in the proposals.
