➢ Make sure all ramp staff are in possession of PPE.
➢ Conduct safely and flight handling briefing, with the team of operators and porters. Ensure all information/telexes pertaining to the flight are available for action.
➢ Checks joining cargo against advice form to ensure correct delivery, sign form and instruct Head Loader/Deriver to position cargo on the stand ready for loading.
➢ Appoint guide persons for marshalling of GSE and ensure that standard hand signals are used during marshalling and GSE operators follow the standard marshalling procedure.
➢ No personnel/equipment except the Headset Man/the appointed person shall approach an aircraft until it has come to a complete stop on parking bay, the wheel chocks are in position, engines have been shut down and the anti-collision light have been turned off.
➢ Ensures that all equipment correctly and safely positioned on the aircraft. Includes air bridge, passenger steps, conveyor belts with marshalling were necessary.
➢ Monitors the offloading and loading of Baggage, Cargo and Mail to ensure operations are carried out within the specific time schedule permitted. Ensures that local baggage is delivered to the arrival area as per priority and that baggage and cargo is placed on the correct flight, according destination/flight number.
➢ Liaises with Load Controller/Ramp Supervisor on problems related to space on aircraft to accommodate baggage/cargo, last minute transfers, equipment failure and similar issues.
➢ Competes and signs Loading Report according to actual loading made on the aircraft, and reports to
Load Controller any changes made or to be made prior to loading finalization, at least 15 minutes before aircraft departure time.
➢ Completes the check sheet with all related loading/offloading activities, equipment used and submit for Ramp Management record.
➢ Responsible to comply with the applicable laws, regulations and procedures of NAS and customers.
