• Checking the installation Commissioning of the New installed LV ABB Drives (ACS880, ACS580, ACS800, (ACS800, ACS550, ACSM1, DCS500, ACS350…etc) for the ongoing industrial projects area and reporting the commissioning Works to the Customer, ABB installed base and service manager,
• Servicing the Faulty ABB medium Voltage and Low Drives (ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS6000, ACS800, ACS550, ACSM1, DCS500, ACS350…etc), Ordering & replacing the faulty parts (boards, IGBTS, Thyristors ….etc) and reporting the warranty Cases to the manufacturer.
• Performing the preventive maintenance of Different types of ABB Drives (ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS6000, ACS500, ACS880, ACS800, ACS550 …etc) and MV Drives
• Sizing, Selecting the LV & MV ABB drives as well as their options ( S/W ) based on Customer’s machine and installation requirements & Configuring them based on Customer application and Control scheme Using ABB software (Drive window, Drive window light, Drive studio Drive Size).
• Reporting the customer satisfaction level, claims and technical issues regarding ABB drives to the BU management. Contribute Effectively in promoting the ABB product and boosting the sales of ABB drives .
• Engineering the System Interface for the Drives Upgrade and Retrofitting Projects as well as for the New installed Drives Project .
• Ability to Do Root Cause analysis for Customer Failure
• Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting the Medium Voltage Variable frequency Drives, ( Experienced, Certified on ABB Product (Medium Voltage Variable frequency Drives, ACS6000, ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS5000).
• Ability to Work under pressure and to ability to Travel to and work in Remote sites for long time.
Directly oversee and manage teams of electrical contractors and subcontractors.
Direct daily activities, answer questions about power needs and guide workers throughout the construction process.
Resolve issues related to electric systems or devices that arise during the course of construction.
Conduct tests of electrical systems throughout the construction process.
Ensure the electrical work has Complied with the specifications, codes, and standards and according to the shop drawings.
Perform material take-offs and prepares BOQ.
Working in all Electrical systems including but not limited to OHPL, CP, Fire Alarm system, Communication, Lightning, Grounding and Power system.
Following and Maintaining site progress.
-Prepare electrical load list, schematic diagrams, single line diagrams, cable schedules
-Perform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, motor starting, arc flash, harmonics).
-Perform calculations for equipment sizing, cable sizing, lighting, grounding and heat tracing.
-Prepare specifications, data sheets, cable schedules and load schedules.
-Checking of single lines, schematics and wiring diagrams, area classification, grounding, panel/cable schedules,
equipment layout, cable layout, tray layout, lighting, electrical heat tracing, and installation details.
-Visit construction/plant sites and fabrication shops during design phase on as required basis.
-Provide construction support and perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems when
required.
-Installing, commissioning and servicing switch gears, battery chargers Motor Control Center (MCC) Motor drives
like auto transforms VFD and so on.
-Utilizing preventive maintenance procedures to reduce unscheduled downtime.
-Worked on LCI (Load Commutated Inverter) system for gas turbine and troubleshooting.
-Supervising Electrical staff and coordinating the daily activities of the electrical department.
-Providing guidance to junior staff in the areas of: leadership, continuous improvement, decision-making and
conflict resolution.
-Assisting in the hiring, selection and training of staff.
-Worked there as SMP (Supplementary Man Power) Test and Inspection Electrical Engineer in the shutdown
period back to back with the TSD (Technical Support Division) as Support.
Responsible on all Electrical and Electronics equipment in the workshop
Control generator output to match the phase, frequency, or voltage of electricity supplied to panels.
Control power generating equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary.
Examine and test electrical power distribution machinery and equipment, using testing devices.
Communicate with systems operators to regulate and coordinate line voltages and transmission loads and frequencies.
Also worked as shift supervisor assistant from supervising the staff to issuing work permits
