Conducts research studies to develop theories or methods of abating or controlling sources of environmental pollutants, utilizing knowledge of principles and concepts of various scientific and engineering disciplines: Determines data collection methods to be employed in research projects and surveys.

Plans and develops research models, using knowledge of mathematical, statistical, and physical science concepts and approaches.

Identifies and analyzes sources of pollution to determine their effects.

Collects and synthesizes data derived from pollution emission measurements, atmospheric monitoring, meteorological and mineralogical information, and water samples.

Prepares graphs, charts, and statistical models from synthesized data, using knowledge of mathematical, statistical, and engineering analysis techniques.

Analyzes data to assess pollution problems, establish standards, and develop approaches for control of pollution.

• Understand the project requirements and local laws with regard to H.S.E. and ensure they are complied with.

The main features of the developed associate degree program are: -The program follows the safety curriculum guidelines developed the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Educational Standards Committee and the American Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) for accrediting associate programs in applied science in safety. -The program includes the necessary mathematics and science courses. -The program covers all required areas for a safety professional degree including occupational safety, safety management, training methodologies, industrial hygiene, fire safety, hazardous materials, ergonomics, and accident investigation analysis, legal aspects of safety, construction safety, risk management and emergency management. -The quality of the developed program is comparable with similar programs offered at community colleges at the US. -The degree plan for program consists of one preparatory year and two years covering a total of 70 credit hours, which includes a summer internship
