• Participate in the development and implementation of mid and long-range strategic plans and budgets.
• Analyze workloads and skill requirements to meet patient care needs.
• Provide leadership at a departmental level for initiatives focused on improving the quality of care for populations of patients and growth for others.
• Participate and perform quality improvement activities related to unit of practice and set action plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with department heads/academic division heads/chairmen of departments to develop and implement process improvement plans.
• Ensure that correct coding is used to designate the diagnoses and procedures performed.
• Accountable for the use of patients’ and hospital’s resources as in monitoring overall use on a monthly basis and ensuring best practices are incorporated.
• Troubleshoot and appropriately attend to problematic issues.
• Coordinate services with other patient care units as required.
• Appraise quality and effectiveness of supplies and equipment and collaborate with appropriate departments to assist with vendor selection and feedback on performance.
• Monitor and control clinic expenditures and provide monthly financial and operational analysis for the Center.
• Manage projects for organizational expansion, facility moves and facility refits.
• Prepare and submit on a yearly basis the minor, capital, operational IT and travel budget.
• Monitor workload statistics and ensure adequate staffing to meet the needs of the Medical Center.
• Perform and document current process deficiency/analysis and make recommendations to change the current process and implement the change in a way to improve clinical/operational function based on best current practices.
Counsel, coach and motivate front-liners to optimize their performance and ensure best-in-class patient experience.
Perform training & orientation sessions for newly recruited staff as part of the induction program for new hires.
Develop and update job descriptions in collaboration with human resources department.
Conduct performance evaluation along to delivering constructive feedback and disciplinary actions. Manage staff professional development, and promote teamwork to foster a positive work environment.
Collaborate on staff recruitment initiatives.
Provide management oversight of operations team. This includes resource management and work assignment for optimal patient care and service delivery quality.
Perform Service Excellence Policies compliance rounds of the front-liners team.
Maintain ownership of Outpatient survey data and followed through on service complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop procedures, standards, and protocols in alignment with customer service organization policy.
Coordinate the work activities and business operations of the Specialty clinics and monitor staff compliance.
Supervise business operations and support activities at AUBMC Psychiatry Clinics.
Manage Specialty Clinics’ float team, medical records team, and Specialty Clinics’ messenger team.
Coordinate specialty clinics coverage by managing staff absenteeism vacation schedule.
Participate in the development and implementation of mid and long-range budget plans.
Audit physicians clinic slots via clinic duration, visit duration, and waiting time metrics.
Analyze statistical data that determine the level of customer service the organization is providing.
Prepare detailed Service Excellence compliance reports of the front-liners team.
Create workflows and standards for employees to support operational excellence.
Work with management team to identify IT needs and establishes priorities for upgrades and modification in line with clinical goals.
