Develop a MEAL system to be integrated into everyday program management to help track progress and measure the impact of UNHCR interventions. Compile, aggregate and analyze data and information elements required to produce standardized information products and implement data/information collection plans for baseline and context-specific data. Analyze data and information and perform data quality and consistency control. Training staf involved in information management activities, including data collection and data entry teams. Designing relevant data collection, storage, analysis and information dissemination tools and procedures. Analyzing information and data needed for efective evidence-based decision-making. Transforming data into appropriate information management products meaningful to a variety of decision-makers.
Contribute to developing standards for operational, geographical, and demographic data to be used throughout the organization and maintain and distribute standards to UN-Habitat staf. Management of information within UN-Habitat, including document management, flows of information and discovery of data and information. Oversee the work of the GIS team, building the teams capacity and knowledge in the domain. Implement and manage UN-Habitats ArcGIS online portal and its associated applications. Design, develop and manage GIS databases, spreadsheets, and other data tools. Manage and develop digital field surveys. Train field surveyors on the technicalities of field data collection. Participate in the development, implementation, and management of M&E indicators, together with accompanying data. Produce and update high-quality information products such as dashboards, charts, maps, infographics, and other graphic products. Participate in the development of advocacy materials including posters, presentations, and other visual materials. Liaise with partners and represent UN-Habitat in meetings
related to IM. Provide technical support to local government through training Regional Technical Ofices technical staf and municipal members on the use of GIS.
Map oil and gas infrastructure networks around the world. Research and integrate existing geo data libraries into EQLIMs web mapping portal. Design maps for the web. Work fluidly between diferent modes of visual and written communication and database structures. Work within a team of researchers, analysts, programmers, economists, geospatial engineers, and designers.
Develop and manage UN-Habitat information system and GIS database. Implement and manage UN-Habitats ArcGIS online mapping platform. Develop the methodology of data collection for the City and Neighborhood Profile projects. Train volunteers, university students, and interns on field data collection tools. Analyze and represent data through dashboards, information tables, and charts. Create maps and layouts for project proposals, presentations, project tracking, and profiling products. Coordinate and facilitate the roles and tasks of the mapping team. Contribute to the provision of technical training and support to local stakeholders. Represent and contribute on behalf of UN-Habitat in the Information Management Working Group.
Develop the methodology for data collection for the municipalities. Create a mobile-based survey application. Supervise the data collection exercise and perform data validation and quality control. Generate progress reports and timetables. Develop the base layers for the mapping products. Analyze data sets through dashboards and tables. Create the necessary maps for population distribution and solid waste management needs.
Redesign the conflict mapping and analysis project database. Manage and clean the project datasets. Produce the necessary maps related to the project.
