Omran is the leading tourism-related investment‚ development and
Management Company in Oman, the company behind many of Oman’s
tourism assets and projects. Omran is developing a number of major
projects including the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre‚ Duqm
Crowne Plaza‚ Al Jabal Al Akhdar Hotel‚ City Hotels and a new hotel in
Khasab. Omran is also partner with the leading public and private‚
national and international organizations with a number of investments
currently under way. And oversee the management of many hotels‚
resorts and tourism assets. Some of these are owned by Omran and
some are managed on behalf of others.
My role includes reporting to and receiving direction from the Project
Director, monitor, general office management, provide assistance,
support to Project Managers in the Preparation and compliance of project
documents such as design, technical documents/ reports, assist with the
preparation and issuing tenders, and specifications, handle project
queries/ communications, provide support during audits, coordinate
tender submissions and prepare documentations for tender opening
meetings, act as a link between the various departments from
mobilization stage till the completion of the project.
Managing and coordinating the Project Director’s calendar, planning and
sequencing meetings and travel and anticipate materials needed for
meetings and prepare in advance; arranging meetings requests: organize
meetings/teleconferences/video conferences (on & off-site), including
associated requirements e.g. equipment, and availabilities (room &
personnel) and teambuilding; Provide support in preparing
agenda/presentations, collating & circulating pre-read.
Assist with preparation of presentations, Organize Project director’s travel
including liaison with Travel Agents to ensure requirements for business
travel are complete and run smoothly; preparation Project Director’s
expenses for approval and management of invoices.
I also act as a coordinator internally for services between commercial
departments HR in regards to arrangements for new staff with regards to
immigration, family visa, arranging hotel bookings, car arrangements,
invoicing, managing accommodation & transport provision, Procurement
external consultants/contractors facilitating smoothing daily project

activities, training new-joiners, in regards to the Commercial Department
coordination I manage all Contracts documents, tendering, procurement
documents on daily basis, finding Vendors and placing orders, sending
offers to team and seeking for technical and financial evaluations,
negotiate commercial and technical issues with the vendor, arranging
payments from Vendors, create (PR) Purchase Requisitions, follow up
with suppliers to assure on time delivery.

My role was to perform a wide variety of technical administrative tasks in
support for the Sohar Aluminum Project; provide technical assistance
functions to the administrative department assist and support
administrative managers, directors in their daily tasks, provide technical
assistance to engineers in administrative matters.
Maintain and manage relevant technical databases, records in an
organized manner, organize and schedule administrative meetings,
support and assist administrative department in strategic direction to
technical persons, setting up and maintaining records; handle
Engineering office administrative tasks in a timely manner; screens calls
and emails to assist in effectively managing time, dates, commitments,
and schedules; arranges appointments and conferences; schedules
International travel; review and track assigned budgets (Engineering
office supplies, etc.); utilizes office software applications composes
reports, specifications, and presentations to include inter-office
correspondence and emails; and edits and processes final documents,
make sure effective management of document is in place, receive,
record, distribute and file all documents in a professional way. Manage all
Contracts documents, engineering and approval documents, confidential
and non confidential documents, handling large volumes of detailed
request for quotation packaged tender documents, specifications,
drawings on daily basis. Train new administration Assistants as and
when they join.
Develop and maintains contact with suppliers and contractors for their
documents and submittals, correspondence, etc. Maintains contact with
client personnel as required. Fully responsible for all documents turn-
over to Client at the end of the project and project Close-out.
