Duties and Responsibilities as Technical Manager:
• Act as the team leader controlling all aspects of the works including, planning, administration, commercial, engineering, site works and documentation.
• Coordinating with MEP work to meet Project goals, while directing the work of the designers on behalf of the client. Over look the design team, provide Engineering solutions.
• Delegate work to the project team and monitor the progress to completion.
• Ensure the works comply with the Contract specification requirements.
• Ensure the LEED requirement properly followed by contractor
• Ensure that the works are completed on time, notifying the management of any delays and valuing the costs associated with the delays.
• Oversee all aspects of the day to day management of the project.
• Instigate the project planning and review of progress against targets set.
• Establish the project construction methodology with the project team
• Attending weekly coordination meeting with main contractor to resolve construction issues.
• Give direction to the Contractor in regard to planning, coordination and construction.
• Compressive study of cost variation submitted by contractor against project documents and forward to client.
• Attend all weekly management/consultant/main contractor/client meeting and follow up the action assigned on the specified dates without any delays.
• Attending weekly project progress meeting with client and contractor to follow up project progress accordingly project planning p-6 program.
• Coordinate with client to resolve the variation and amendment issue
• Report to project Director to update MEP statues
• Super review the drawings & material submittals.
• Monitor progress to Completion, tracking Project.
• Review monthly MEP payment.
• Establish & maintain MEP Master Progress Schedule
• Review the prequalification of Contractors and forward to client for approvals.
• Efficient planning and optimum utilization of engineering staff.
responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the MEP Division. The key responsibilities will include providing overall direction, running of day to day operations, coordination, implementation, overseeing the current portfolio of work, completion of MEP work and also meeting consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Role & Responsibilities:
· To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of MEP work & also meeting consistency with company strategy, goals in line with the Budgeted Cost.
· Responsible and directly involved to oversee Tendering, Bid preparation, and submittal.
· Demonstrate and use expert knowhow of the entire MEP part of construction projects in all its aspects: design, function, installations and coordination with other departments.
· Administer the MEP design and execution between internal teams, clients & subcontractors.
· Provide the planning input for the MEP works and Monitor Planning vs. Progress on site.
· Supervise the project progress and/or delays through letters which can be used as contractual aids during disputes.
· Lead and control the document flows; Able to review resource reports like (manpower histograms, plant, and machinery schedule) and ascertain the adequacy of resources deployed for timely completion of the project.
· Audit the performance of MEP subcontractors. Implement/follow proper QHSE procedures as per the company/Governmental standards.
· Lead technical coordination meetings with Clients, Subcontractors, Department Heads, PMs, MEP Managers, and staff.
· Provide technical input for offer requests and the awarding of MEP subcontracts to the contracts, procurement department.
· Proficient in and aware of International and Local Building Codes of all MEP Systems. Have hands-on experience in the procurement, installation and testing & commissioning of all MEP systems.
· Lead and Mentor a team of Mechanical and Electrical Managers on Site.
· Oversee and enforce the implementation of HSE by MEP Contractors.
· Must be able to perform all post-tender activities of construction until the handing over and completion of the defects liability period of the project
· To ensure compliance of construction activity to best industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy and goals.
