• Effectively developing and maintaining procurement schedules in coordination with Design/Technical Department to establish the deliverables required for project with extensive focus on acquisition of subcontractors starting from tendering to execution of contract until payments released and materials delivered to site
• Successful purchasing of materials, plant, equipment and tools for substructure and superstructure works to include all aspects such as package compilation, sending out RFQ/RFP, obtaining price, price negotiation, review on price comparison, selection of qualified supplier, etc.
• Proficient studying of subcontractor prequalification documentation and submission for client review and approval
• Setting up supply order agreements and works order agreements for materials and services required throughout the project in coordination with Commercial Manager
• Efficiently issuing purchase orders and process supplier invoices for payments working with accounts department for release of payments
• Liaising with domestic and international logistic agencies to ensure proper supply chain is maintained and with logistics department to ensure best mode of shipments are used to source materials
• Tracking of subcontractor’s procurement on a monthly basis and reporting to the Project Director
• Collaborating with head contracts department for confirmation of scope and client acceptance of cost before procurement of goods
• Carefully studying of budget and pre-tender analysis before commencement of procurement function
• Successfully established and managing team of staff to efficiently control site logistics and store inventory to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials maintained.
• Competently preparing monthly payment schedules for suppliers and other priority payments in coordination with the project management team
• Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers on a global basis.
• Actively assisting in managing a spend of above QAR 150 M/Year on material procurement and ensuring smooth functioning of project by working closely with contractors, manufacturers and global supply chain players
