Production Engineer at Schlumberger
  • Mexico
  • My current job since August 2013

-- Heavy oil (HO) dehydration & desalting process surveillance. Monitoring of heavy oil (HO) quality parameters to be agreed with commercial conditions. “Dos Bocas” Marine Terminal - PEMEX.
-- Surveillance of Offshore stimulations/cleanout offense over dehydration & desalting process (HO). “Dos Bocas” Marine Terminal - PEMEX.
-- Surveillance of Offshore wells behavior (water cut, W/O rates and quality) to forecast arrival rates to “Dos Bocas Marine Terminal (PEMEX) accordingly to rate changes and operational improvements.
-- Development of automated software solution to improve tracking and surveillance over stimulations/cleanout (Offshore) and KPI’s behavior, allowing proactive decisions in order to reduce disturbances in dehydration & desalting process (HO). “Dos Bocas” Marine Terminal - PEMEX.
-- Development of an improved Offshore chemical mitigation strategy, to get dehydration & desalting process (HO) more efficiently.
-- Monitoring and tracking performance factors of crude oil metering systems. “Dos Bocas” Marine Terminal - PEMEX.
-- Production Data Management.

Project Technical Leader at Schlumberger
  • Mexico
  • September 2014 to June 2016

-- Impacts of Stimulation/Cleanout Jobs over Heavy Oil Quality Control Process in “Dos Bocas” Marine Terminal of PEMEX and Key Performance Indicator’s Surveillance System Implementation in AVOCET. "Dos Bocas" Maritime Terminal - PEMEX.
-- Dehydration and Desalting Process Optimisation, Through Chemistry Mitigation Strategy for Stimulations and Cleanout Disturbances and KPI's Implementation in AVOCET. "Dos Bocas" Maritime Terminal - PEMEX.

Production Optimisation Engineer at PDVSA - Petrocedeño
  • Venezuela
  • November 2010 to August 2013

-- Real time monitoring and production optimisation of Wells (heavy and extra heavy oil); recently completed or post work over, with high / low water cut and sediments production (lime and sands); using drawdown pressure / rate analysis and mechanical capacity evaluation for to estimate and handling of production deficit.
-- Design and selection of artificial lift systems (AL), in accordance to forecasting and estimation of volumetric potentials, historical behavior, mechanic well conditions, lifting capacity and surface hydraulics conditions (multiphasic pumping, separation and storage).
-- Surveillance, evaluation and operation of AL equipment (PCP / ESP), real time monitoring of surface and bottom hole parameters, well fluid levels (static and dynamic) y electrical frequency variation. Analysis of equipment efficiency and lifting, running time (Run Time), failure analysis and mean time between failures (MTBF), in order to make forecasting of equipment needs, manufacturer selection and purchases planning.
-- Well and network modelling and integration with real time data acquisition workflows, implemented in an automated solution using a production platform to allow real time monitoring and surveillance, including a “smart warning” and production forecasting system using neural networks.
-- Integrated production reports (Monthly, Weekly and Daily). Production data management.

Professor at U.N.E.F.A.
  • Venezuela
  • April 2009 to November 2010

-- Train to students of Gas Engineering and Petrochemical Engineering on: Thermodynamic I, Petroleum Geology Principles, Production Engineering and Oil Drilling.
-- Developing of teaching strategies which allow to students show the learning earned during the studies, among to evaluate the development and academic growth, in order to determinate if the students got the approval requirements by law.

Intern at Inter - Rock C.A.
  • Venezuela
  • January 2008 to December 2008

-- Conversion of analogical logs to digital form, and adequation of existing digital logs. Includes not only well log rasterization and vectorization, also their adequation applying best practices in well curve reconstruction and quality control.
-- Adequation of logs, correcting all irregularities caused by improper operation. Includes depth-shifting, borehole corrections, sonic log cycle skipping and noise correction, spontaneous potential calibration, well curve normalization and splicing, among other corrections.
-- Well log evaluation and interpretation applying the best practices adapted to the type of reservoir. Sensibility analysis of parameters to be used and definition of most adequate model. The model is defined in key wells and then upscaled and populated to the rest of the wells.

Instructor at Universidad De Oriente
  • Venezuela
  • January 2006 to October 2008

-- Train to students of Petroleum Engineering on: Rocks and Fluids Properties and Drilling Fluids Laboratory.
-- Developing of teaching strategies which allow to students show the learning earned during the studies, among to evaluate the development and academic growth, in order to determinate if the students got the approval requirements by law.
