Being the senior procurement officer, I am in charge of issuing product comparison analysis, preparing purchase orders for equipment, plants, materials and various kinds of service for the project. I attend meetings with my Corporate Supply Chain Manager, concerning cost, budget and contractual issues so as to set and monitor cost saving targets and other management milestones. Moreover, I monitor the procurement progress on a regular basis, so as to address issues with respect to every contract specifications and key performance indicators (K.P.I.), to review, when necessary, revisions of purchase orders, deliveries status, rental agreements for equipment and plants, documents submissions, pre-qualification documents of subcontractors and suppliers, logistics inbound and outbound requirements as well as the implementation of the enterprise resource planning (E.R.P), in coordination with every project's base line schedule. My aim consists of coordination with company's departments to implement various contractual techniques, in order to minimize any delays or progress defect penalties which might arise from client. Furthermore, I prepare reports to support claim cases for variation orders, not to mention charge cases to subcontractors for late or non-quality execution of their assigned agreements
Throughout the period of being involved in the above mentioned project, I was responsible to perform the supervision with success and no delays of all the procurement and control works related to cleaning and offices equipment, janitorial supplies, waste containers for public and private uses, offices supplies, kitchen supplies and all the related to the project materials on a daily basis, in order to open new work fronts for the project's staff, as well as responsible for monitoring the cost and the budget flow, for weekly cost related checks in projection to the project’s budget. I focused on ensuring the implementation of project specifications, as well as to manage the timely completion of all the procurement requests.
Having led the project site procurement team, I supervised all site procurement aspects of the project including, purchase orders, correspondences, planning, controlling, organizing and coordinating works, such as those of subcontractors, suppliers, specialist subcontractors and relevant governmental Authorities. Moreover, I oversaw all procurement site offices requirements related to stationary and I.T. equipment and hardware items, so as to ensure the delivery of the materials on time, within the schedule and budgeted cost. What is more, by allocating tasks to the subordinate staff, I achieved the real time proper monitoring of the stocked supplies, established the smooth working relationships with Authorities, client, consultant, subcontractors, ensured that all assigned responsibilities be carried out with respect to the contract base line schedule. Last but not least, I reported the statistical summaries to the company's main office, by drawing attention to significant trends and provided support, by conducting research and developing several techniques.
