Jumeirah Vittaveli is the second of the two properties of Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts in the Maldives. It is a 90 villas luxury island poised to become the top island resort in the Indian Ocean. I joined the resort three months after the soft opening.


-In my role I supervise and develop the performance of the operating departments including, but not limited to: Rooms Division, F&B Service and Production, Spa, Maintenance, Landscaping, Security, IT&T, Children and youth club, Water Sports and Diving along with resort Transportation.
-Participate and provide inputs for comprehensive sales and marketing plans for optimum rate, occupancy and market penetration for the resort.
-Redeveloping the ‘Resort Butler’ concept.
-Revamped the guest amenities, both F&B and housekeeping, reflective of superior luxury standards while
keeping the environmental impact in focus.
-Contributed and implemented new initiatives to reduce energy costs of the island.
-Developed the CAPEX, OS&E and FF&E plans for 2012- 13 and ongoing 2014.
-Forecasted operational expenditures for 2012 and budgeted for 2013 and ongoing 2014.
-Developed several new concepts and spaces for improved guest experiences and revenue generation.
-Presently developing the concept for an additional F&B outlet and redesigning of a new retail space.

-During my tenure I was involved in a number of projects and led several of them including the refurbishment projects of major public areas and rooms, renovation and rebranding of the Spa and Fitness Studio to name a few.
-In year 2011, the Rooms Division team exceeded an exceptionally high incremental revenue target of one million Singapore Dollars.
-Coordinated the hotel logistics with the organizing bodies of various large-scale events like the Formula-1 Singapore Grand Prix, Singapore National Day celebrations, Youth Olympic Games etc.
