• Responsible for handling a team of 5 VSR (Van sales representative) and 5 VSA (Van sales assistants).
• Ensuring DVA (Daily Van achievement) of all the brands. Give the VSRs a realistic target for the day (i.e. “serve every call well”).
• Ensuring Distribution of all brands
• Route riding at least 3 times in a week with VSR.
• Ensuring proper merchandising of all the SKU’s in the cooler as per planogram. Making use of POS material for displaying company products
• Check previous day’s results against targets. Decide with Manager who has “to be seen”, who has already “been seen” and what action will be taken overall.
• Ensuring and reporting cooler repairs and maintenance
• Finding and adding new customers in the route. Developing Potential customers for promotion and business expansion through joint business plan.
• Keeping and minimising market expiry through consumer offers and displays.
• Classifying (A, B, C, D) the customers based on their sales history.
• Maintaining excellent customer relationship and resolving each customer complaint.
• Keeping track and minimising market credit.
• Checks out loads, watch for all forms of pilfering and get the trucks straight out after checking
• Ensure loads are adequate for rounds.
• Take over the Manager’s responsibilities when necessary.
• Hold section meetings
• To be involved with the Manager’s induction and classroom training as much as possible and to implement field training to the Aujan Standard.
• Observe the general condition of the vehicle, weekly do a check on tires, lamps, mirrors and safe working conditions.
