The Syria Trust for development is a 1st local Syrian NGO related to Syria 1st lady Mrs. Asmaa Al-Asaad, my contract was to re-organize their Finance department as per the following:
•Set Finance department org. chart.
•Set the job description of the finance staff according to the new org. chart.
•Analysis the finance, budgeting & accounting processes & procedures and develop them to enhance smooth work flow & set the needed controls.
•Analysis the HR processes & procedure and develop them.
•Analysis the procurement & warehouses processes & procedure and develop them.
Premiere Urgence Internationale is an AID Humanitarian organization

-I occupy the position of Chief Accountant, reporting to G/L & A/P Manager.
-I am the in charge person of reporting the monthly financial & Accounting results to the Group in Paris through HFM reporting system.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
1-Bank reconciliation.
2-Balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
3-Monthly reconciliation between G/L & all sub modules and fix all pending issues.
4-Accrual & prepaid expenses accounts maintaining.
5-Issuance of monthly trial balance & booking the needed adjusting entries.
6-Inter-company accounts maintaining & reconciliation.
7-Financial statements monthly reporting to the Group.
8-Communication with the Group to fix any pending issue.
I chose to left DHL to have a new challenge in bigger organization in a new domain of
business & to have a new experience in accounting
-Working as General Ledger accountant enriched my accounting experience & enabled
me having an overview on the whole accounting cycle
-After WFP project was fully performed & its accounts were completely closed i was
assigned as A/P Senior Accountant, reporting to Accounting Manager
-My main achievement was the transition of the company's financial system from local
system to ERP system.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
1- Check the suppliers payments & making sure to be fully supported
2- Supervision on monthly reconciliation of the suppliers accounts & follow up fixing the
pending issues
3- Coordinate with treasury department to settle the due payments
DHL Global Forwarding is the leading company worldwide in the domain of Freight,
Customs clearance & All other logistics services.
- I was the Financial Supervisor of World Food Programme (WFP) which was the largest
project performed by DHL Syria, The project extended through the period from Mar-04 to Jan-05.
- There was 6 accountants under my supervision.
- I was reporting to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
1- Check & confirm on the daily billing to WFP
2- Check & follow up the suppliers due payments & supervision on the monthly accounts
reconciliation
3- Prepare the monthly financial statements with the accounting manager
4- Supervision on the monthly reconciliation with WFP
5- Supervision on the monthly Bank reconciliation
6- Help the Accounting Manager in closing the project pending accounts
7- Follow up the pending project financial issues & issue the needed CN's or DN;s
