AIX Administration
Experienced in all aspects of AIX System Administration and support for Power 740 servers such as: OS installation and upgrade, OS problem resolution, application of OS fixes, installation of application software, administration of user accounts, system configuration, troubleshooting, system monitoring, system tuning and disk usage maintenance.
• Planned and implemented the DR setup for AIX server using storage level replication. Reduced the failover window from 3 hours to 1 hour by automating the manual tasks.
• Integrated AIX application user authentication with Active Directory using Kerberos.
• Performed Technology level upgrade using alternate disk installation approach with minimal downtime.
• WPAR creation and management.
• Planned and implemented the consistent backup setup for application data using JFS2 snapshot technology using scripts in AIX servers. Reduced the backup window from 4 hours to 45 minutes by implementing cumulative incremental backups.
• Installation of Kerridge Application (Automotive application from ADP) on AIX server.

About 70% of applications run on Oracle DB with advanced technologies like RAC, OEM. End-to-end DBA tasks including DB creation, cloning, space forecasting, TS re-org is taken care our DBA team.
Responsibilities:
Role: Oracle Database Administration:
• Stand-by database management, building the Standby Database from Production Database.
• Installation, Configuration, Up gradation and Database Creation of Oracle 10g/11g software for SAP and non-SAP application
• Getting requirement from application team and give suggestion for optimal methods to achieve it.
• User management and schema migration across DBs.
• Table space re-org (online and offline) using BRTOOLS and other management tasks using BRTOOLS.
• Working knowledge in OEM like configuration, setting blackouts, generating report based on segment advisor, finding bottlenecks, hang analysis.
• RMAN Backup Configuration, Performing Online/Offline Database Backups using RMAN. Performing RMAN Complete & Incomplete Restore/Recovery.
