Job Responsibilities : Supervision of civil works for construction of (D.I.) Piping Systems With D.I. Fittings. (Water Pipelines) and (Water Tanks 1&4 MIG).
Lot 1: Early Water Transmission Pipeline -DN800 DI pipe from Sheikh Khalifa Farm up to Umm Al Quwain City RO Plant (approx.45km) along with Fiber Optic Cable along the pipeline route, connection to existing UAQ distraction network, and existing DN 600 DI line supplying H.H. SH. Khalifa Farm. Appurtenances like Control Valves, line Valves, Air Valves, and Washout Chambers shall be constructed along with pilot operated Flow Control Valve at UAQ and at junction -A, Metering arrangement at UAQ. Tap-Offs for Future Connection at Bypass Road, Emirates Road and Al Salamah shall be provided and commissioning and operation up to issuance of PAC for Lot 2.
Lot 2: Water Transmmsion Pipeline and Storge Tanks - DN 800 pipeline between Al Dhaid Tank Farm up to the Sheikh Khalifa Farms (approx.16km) along with Fiber Optic Cable along the pipeline route with connection of proposed pipeline with existing DN 600 DI pipeline at Junction -A, existing tanks at UAQ and Al Dhaid and proposed new tanks. The new tanks shall consist of 1 no.1MIG Pre stressed tank at Falaj Al Mualla and 1 No 4 MIG Pre Stressed Tank at UAQ including all civil, piping, mechanical and I&C works. Appurtenances like Control Valves, line Valves, Air Valves, and Washout Chambers shall be constructed along with complete programming of the control system for the whole project.

Job Responsibilities :
 Purpose- Supervision, monitoring and inspection of total construction activities carried out by contractor on site on behalf of employer in accordance with specification, approved drawings and method statements.


Principal Accountabilities-

• To inspect and record the construction works carried out by contractor on site and resolve the site generated quaries by co-ordinating with Asst. Resident Engineer.
• To ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the drawings and specification.
• Supervision and Inspection of `additional works’ and `out of scope works’ carried out by contractor.
• Process the joint measurement forms and maintain the records of their status.
• Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as-built plans.
• Make special notes and document the contractors activities that may lead to claims.
• Be fair and firm in dealings with the contractor. Consider the alternatives and consequences carefully before making decisions.
• Check temperature, compaction, joints and surface of asphalt
• Check all form works, reinforcement etc before concrete pouring
• Co-ordinate and co-operate with Contractors site Foreman for all the activities.
• Adhere to safe working methods and report to ARE for any accidents on site.
• Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labour and equipment used etc, and sign at the end of each day.
• Coordinate with the laboratory technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
• Checking the `Day work records’ submitted by contractor
• Supervision and Inspection of all construction activities carried out by contractor on site.
• Maintaining records of site resources, daily progress of work, inspections, construction and workshop drawings, method statements and ITPs (Inspector Testing Plans). Making special notes and document the contract activities that may lead to claims.
• Drafting site instructions for any required variations from, or additions to, the contract documents.
• Report questionable methods of operations by the contractor to the Engineer.

Project Scope of Works:
 Construction of new Ghayathi transmission ductile iron pipeline DN 600 mm having length of 30 km branched off from an existing DN 1600 mm transmission pipeline.
 The construction of new interconnection DI pipeline of DN 800 mm tapped off the existing DN 1600 mm transmission line and connecting to both Takreer existing 20"&16" line for a total length of 2, 500 m.
 Interconnection to existing Ghayathi underground reservoir from the new transmission DN 600 mm pipeline.
 Interconnection to existing Ghayathi water network from the new transmission DN 600 mm pipeline.
 Construction of new ductile iron DN 300 mm having length of some 2.50 km from the new transmission DN 600 mm pipeline to feed Ghayathi military camp.
 Construction of by- pass to the existing Ghayathi water station of DN 600 mm from the new transmission pipeline DN 600 mm pipeline.
 Construction of all required valve chambers, sector measuring points and road crossing in specified location according to specifications, drawings, BOQ and / or ADWEA / Engineer instructions.
 Supply and construction of a control room to cover both the tapped branch of DI DN 600 mm transmission pipeline to Ghayathi and Takreer 800 mm branch.
 Construction of new HDPE 160 mm pipeline for the interconnection to Umm Al Ashtan military camp from the existing pump station of Bida’ mutawa” a as follows :-
 Extension works of the existing pump station to add new pump room.
 Supply, installation and commissioning of two (2) no. Split casing horizontal centrifugal pumps ( 1+1 ) of capacity 11 l/s @m to transfer the water from Bida’a Al Mutawa’a to Umm Al Ashtan military camp complete with suction and discharge header, valves, fittings, discharge motorized valves, strainer, instruments, gauges and interconnection with the existing suction headers.
 electrical and instrumentation works for the pump room.
