My responsibilities include:
-Periodic review of systems, policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
-Recommends changes in systems, policies and procedures.
-A comprehensive and risk-focused monitoring and testing that evaluates control effectiveness as well as compliance with policies and procedures.
-Develop appropriate response or action plans for the business unit where current compliance controls and procedures are not in place.
-Ad hoc tasks in regards to risk and compliance matters as provided by the FPRC Manager.
Total outstanding balance in a month is around SAR 40m & main key account customers include Othaim, Meed, Lulu
etc. My responsibilities as Debtors Accountant are as follows:
-Follow up, collection and allocation of payments.
-Monitoring customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
-Maintain accounts receivable customer files.
-Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
-Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
-Regular follow up on disputed balances and report on a periodical basis.
-Preparing daily, weekly & monthly debtor related reports.
-Presentation of debtor’s performance to Regional Financial Controller and Regional Accounting
Manager on monthly basis
I have been working in Almarai Company in Sales Finance department as Accountant. Almarai is one of the largest FMCG group in Gulf, serving its product in Gulf region. Product categories are fresh dairy, long-life dairy, fruit juices, cheese & butter, bakery, poultry, arable & horticulture and infant formulae.
My responsibilities include:
-To ensure that within the Sales Depot all daily reconciliation of stocks, cash and credits are correctly
processed.
-Reimbursement of petty cash expenses and disbursement of cash salaries.
-Fixed assets verification of the Sales Depot on quarterly basis & maintaining Fixed Asset register.
-Handling Sales Depot financial operations and ensure that Sales Depot financial activities are as per
Almarai policies.
-Ensure the proper application of internal controls within the Sales Depot and preparation of quarterly
audit files.
-Preparation of weekly bank reconciliation & month end JV’s.
-Provision of ad-hoc management information required by the regional management and the head
office.
At Audit And Assurance
During my stay, I was involved in many audit assignments, in line with generally accepted auditing standards and in conformity with relevant accounting and regulatory frameworks.
• Assists Senior in the examination and analysis of accounting records of client, and prepares reports concerning its financial status and operating procedures.
• Inspects items in books of original entry to determine if proper procedure in recording transactions was followed.
• Counts cash on hand, inspects notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks.
• Verifies journal and ledger entries of cash and check payments, purchases, expenses, and trial balances.
