➢ 2003 August to June 2008: Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab Hotel

o I was a Management Trainee for 6 months. I was trained with the different departments of the Hotel at a Supervisory level; Housekeeping, Guest Services, Butlers, Switchboard (Telephone Operator), Room Reservations and FIDELIO training which is the computer system used by leading hotels.
o After one year, I was assigned as Guest Services Manager for the Protocol and Public Relations Department. I was in charge as direct contact for the TOP VIP's of the Burj Al Arab.
o In 2005 I was promoted to Assistant Protocol Manager, assisting the Director of Protocol in dealing with the representatives of the Official Government Offices, especially from the Arab countries.
o Promoted to Protocol Manager doing the same work but with more responsibilities.


Courses and Trainings taken at Jumeirah:
➢ CDSP - Career Development Summer Program. A program specifically designed for the tourism and hospitality industry. We visited almost 50% of the 5 star hotels in Dubai, doing show around, and studying comparisons on how each one has bettered another.
o An actual training on how the hotel operates and profits.
o We were also given computer training on the Fundamentals of WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT.
o A presentation was required for all the participants after the period of course.

➢ Al Tawteen Programme - An Emaratization program on understanding diverse cultures especially in the hospitality industry. Jumeirah is a multi-national company with more than 10, 000 colleagues coming from all over 50 nationalities. Such a diverse environment will require such an effort in understanding each and everyone to run the operation smoothly. We were trained with other nationalities, participated programs with them and actually pushed to our max to understand them and not us to be understood.

➢ Fundamentals of Management - as a Guest Services Manager, I was required to do trainings to better my capacity and perform my roles better especially to my staff as well as colleagues. The program comes in a 6 level program which are:
