Supervise and oversee all operations performed on Saudi Aramco wells.

Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.

Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well to ensure it is available when required.

Ensure the contractor meets all requirements of his contract.

Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to see that modern drilling practices are followed.

Approve contractor daily tour reports.

Ensure that contractor rigs and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.

Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the superintendent.

Ensure that Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing and crew response.

Assure that rig and personnel comply with Saudi Aramco established safety standards and procedures.

• Working as a drilling & workover rig supervisor in the Western Desert of Egypt:
 Implementing HPHT oil well drilling, completion & workover operations as per designed programs & HSSE regulations with the highest quality & lowest possible cost.
 Drilling vertical & directional exploratory & development deep oil wells.
 Drilling HPHT gas wells within API standards.
 Drilling with oil-base & water-base drilling fluids.
 Contributing to water injection projects by drilling & completing water suppliers & injectors.
 Implementing well re-entry & sidetracks.
 Experience with dry location systems.
 Using Landmark Compass software.
 Exploiting virtual hydraulics software to optimize drilling operations.
 Running & cementing different sizes of casing strings & liners.
 Planning, supervising & performing the required calculations for casing & cement operations.
 Monitoring well real-time parameters & surveys & provide technical advice accordingly.
 Running different types of drill bits (tri-cone bits & PDC bits) & managing drilling & bit parameters to achieve the best performance.
 Dull grading drill bits & updating bit records.
 Monitoring the efficiency of drilling tools such as motors, MWD tools, bits & jars & improving plans accordingly.
 Checking drilling & workover rigs according to preset checklists prior to accepting rigs.
 Implementing, witnessing & interpreting open-hole & cased-hole logging operations.
 Performing formation integrity tests & leak-off test prior to drilling new formations.
 Running different types of completion (natural flow, ESP, SRP, water supply & water injection).
 Familiar with running upper completion & openhole lower completion.
 Supervising & following up a wide range of completion & workover operations such as running & cementing liners, cleaning out & scraping jobs, cement squeeze, remedial jobs, cement plugs, DST, perforation, fishing operations, etc.
 Planning & supervising different types of perforation (casing gun, TCP & through-tubing perforation).
 Following up perforating operations, loading guns & guns depth correlation.
 Running various types of packer, bridge plug, cement retainer, nipple, SSD, tubing anchor& other downhole tools.
 Performing hydraulic fracturing & acid jobs & witnessing coiled tubing, slick-line jobs, well bore cleaning & well testing operations.
 Installing various types of wellhead configurations.
 Being fully familiar & practically trained with well control principles, procedures & equipment.
 Apply well control principles to safely conduct drilling activities.
 Controlling well kicks if occurs.
 Take necessary precautions to avoid drilling & workover problems.
 Troubleshooting drilling problems (shale problems, lost circulation, pipe sticking, etc.).
 Providing immediate troubleshooting for any problems occurring on the wellsite.
 Set or suggest appropriate actions & procedures to overcome & eliminate drilling & workover problems.
 Adhering to & applying all HSSE regulations & policies of the operating company.
 Supporting the safety engineers in applying company HSSE systems in the drilling site.
 Observing all company health, safety & environmental instructions, acting in a safe manner & avoiding unnecessary risks.
 Providing comprehensive training for new drilling engineers.
 Managing, supervising & directing all personnel in the well site.
 Monitoring plans, programs & work progress.
 Coordinating activities with third party supervisory personnel on the drilling unit.
 Planning ahead & setting time plans for mobilizing service personnel & equipment.
 Preparing daily drilling & workover reports & sending them to the concerned operations teams.
 Ensuring an adequate inventory of equipment & materials is maintained on the drilling unit to carry out the work.
 Inspecting new locations before rig move & making sure they meet company standards.
 Monitoring rig move to ensure safe operations during rig down, rig move & rig up.
