As of Jan 2012, I am heading the Finance & IT operations for the Yasra Foods co. Kuwait (Annual Sales of +/- USD$ 550m). I report directly to the Al Yasra Group COO and am part of the company's leadership team.

My main responsibility is to build a front office Finance Business Partnering team at the heart of operations to drive efficiency across all business operations. This in turn will be reflected in more business differentiation, cost savings, and better decision making process.

• Business Partner VP Supply Chain Benelux and member of SCMT
• Reports to Unilever Supply Chain Company in Switzerland & Country Controller in MSO Benelux.
• Line Manager of the Benelux Finance Supply Chain team in controlling the Benelux Supply Chain costs (from Make (Raw Mat / Copackers) to Deliver (Sec. Trspt) costing +/-€ 800m/year.
• The team’s main operations range from supply chain activity based costing, budgeting, forecasting, periodic management reporting, and eco-tax declarations.

• Finance business partner of R&D Europe VP and member of the R&D Europe Leadership team.
• Financial controller of R&D European budgets (+/-€ 250m / year)
• Led Centers of Excellence build-up & restructuring process across Europe
• Evaluate R&D portfolio innovation projects to assist management in prioritization in the innovation funnel.
• Manage R&D Europe budgets and forecasts and ensure audit compliance.
• Provide management reporting for R&D budgets

Rockwell’s European Shared Service Center (ESSC) is located in Rotterdam. ESSC is the gateway between the European operations and US HQ.

Job Responsibilities:


• Monthly Financial Reporting for Rockwell UK & Iberia region. In coordination with the Local Financial Controller, the reporting activities involve:
o Analysis of financial statements and make necessary accounting adjustments to ensure accurate reporting.
o Support country Annual Operations Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts of all financial statements.
o Reconciliation of BS accounts to be controlled by auditors.
o Coordinate ESSC country team meeting to update operations and set on-going performance targets with AR, AP & Treasury team members.

Company: KPNQwest (Euronext: KQIP)
KPNQwest was a joint venture between Qwest communications (US) and KPN telecommunications (NL). KPNQwest was one of the dominant pan-European fibre optic communications networks. Its IP data network operated between 50 European cities and the US. Was listed and trading on both the NASDAQ and Amex stock markets (KQIP). In 2002, all operations were terminated as a result of bankruptcy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monthly reporting of SG&A performance to management per business unit, cost component, and country levels.
• Monthly control of company’s restructuring & capitalisation processes in co-ordination with budget holders, country controllers, & financial reporting management.
• Monthly meetings with departmental budget holders to discuss & evaluate monthly performance, quarterly forecasting & annual budgeting.
• Build KPIs monitoring SG&A % of revenue and initiate management proposals for SG&A control.

Job Responsiblities:

• Month end consolidated reporting of financial statements, profitability analysis per business unit.
• Monthly reconciliation of B/S accounts.
• Building & updating profitability & cost accounting SAP allocation cycles.
• Preparing financial statements’ annual business budget plans.
• Business travels to local plants (France) to co-ordinate the forecasting and the building of the business plan in addition to resolving B/S reconciliation matters.
• Issuing inter-company & third party invoices on a quarterly basis.
