• Control the weekly removal of scrap items
• Maintain all part codes and associated barcodes for parts
• Identify fast vs slow movers and maintain appropriate stock levels of each .
• Ensure security and accuracy of stock levels
• Perform monthly stock take and ensure all stock levels are accurate on the system
• Provide Management and Guidance to all Parts staff
• Ensure that all customers are being served in a professional timeous fashion and are being provided the correct parts
• Ensure that Brilliant Mechanical Workshop has the parts and spares it requires on hand in stock .
• Ensure that company policies are adhered to effectively, including staff discipline, timekeeping, leave records, sick days, overtime records, etc .
• Conducting staff performance reviews together with the Managing Director
• Ensure that all direct reports are properly trained and understand their roles and responsibilities .
• Provide accurate sales reports each week, together with an overview of marketing and sales activities .
• Maintain accurate pricing for all used parts.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Manages 6 employees in the Parts Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Advise special customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
• Fill special customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock.
• Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
• Supervising on Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts.
• Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
• Read catalogs, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
• Locate and label parts and maintain inventory of stock.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Place new merchandise on display.
• Manage shipments by researching shipping methods or costs and tracking packages.
• Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
• Demonstrate parts to customers and explain functioning of equipment.

• Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications
• Communicate with the teams by utilizing the visual management, delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement
• Performance manage team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance
• Ensure safe working practices are maintained and ‘Standard Operations’ adhered to
• Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented
• Motivate the team to create a high performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced

• Contribute in the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results of her/his machinery group and ensuring compliance with procedures, operating instructions and work instructions
