By measuring how was done the at last ten years of continuous work and my experiences gained, saw that need to strengthen this experience, which made me to get a certificate of Lead Auditor for Quality Management Systems (QMS) Also, participated in a training program for the projects management professional and then plan to get a certificate of Certified Project Manager Professional.
• Led a team consisted of quality control engineer and five quality control technicians(foremen) .
• Since Start we accomplished quality control activities in ten new construction and conversion of ships projects . ( (48-64-95) meters and project costs ranging between 50 to 200 million AED and (22-20 meters) and costs ranging between 15 to 25 million AED.)
• We set up a 13 welding procedures specification (WPS ) and procedure qualification records (PQR) for steel plates and Pipes. ( Steel plates between 8 mm to 45 mm - and Pipes diameters between 1.5 inches to 12 inches and a schedule of 40 to 120 and have been accredited by the classification societies (ABS-LR-DNV-BV)) as per their rules and (ASTM, ASME, AWS, ISO, API ) Specification, codes and standards .
• We have trained more than 60 welders in different positions and thicknesses have been accredited by the classification societies (ABS-LR-DNV-BV) as per their rules and (ASTM, ASME, AWS, ISO, API ) Specification, codes and standards .
• We established and developed a quality control system on purchases involved in production processes.
• Built strong and good relations with the representatives of the classification societies (ABS-LR-DNV-BV), as well as customer
• Established and controlled a Quality Control Plans (Inspection And Test Plan - Calibration of measuring Devices Plan - Destructive Testing Plans- Non-Destructive Testing Plans - Dock Trials and Sea Trials programs).
• We finished successfully and under my administration two Sea Trials of Tug Mubarak Challenger 48 meters belonging to the French classification society (BV) and Dubai Star Vessel 64 meters belonging to the English classification society (LR) and are currently in service. As we finished sea trials for other projects, but by other colleges management.
• A Committee member and coordinator of acts for quality management system to get the certification of ISO 9001: 2008, which was obtained in January 2010
• A Management Representative in absence of quality assurance Manager for the renewal of the certificate of ISO 9001: 2008 and the renewal has been obtained in 2013
• In change of company millstones to dealing with subcontractors; selected as team member whose review and approve the subcontractors in respect of quality
Mechanical workshops consists of seven workshops (Piping - Foundry - Turner -Pumps Maintenance - Steel Formation - Maintenance and installation of valves - Carpentry) .
I was Trained and qualified as an certified inspector non-destructive tests for the detection of welding and castings defects, trained for set up welding procedures, chosen as part of a team to obtain ISO 9001: 2001 and have been assigned in the Department of Mechanical workshops tasks: the following
• Implementation of and follow-up quality control activities Mechanical Works Projects new construction and repair ; reporting to Quality General Manager .
• Inspection of incoming Materials and issuing nonconforming reports for rejected materials and follow-up third party inspections
• Follow-up and update of the calibration plan for measuring devices
• Follow-up and update the calibration plan for welding machines and welding rods ovens.
• Assist Quality General Manager in the internal audits
• Analyze problems and develop proposed solutions
• Appointed from the chairman of the board to be quality control engineer for hull and mechanical work on site for new construction of firefighting and damage control training buildings for Egyptian navy building.
Represented my duties in the company:
• Perform monthly and weekly preventive maintenance procedures and daily inspection of the equipment and determine the parts required and time needs .
• update a record date equipment work and preventive measures to avoid a sudden stop of the equipment - Determination of maintenance costs and propose alternatives
• Inventory of spare parts a week and submit a request for purchases approved by the General Manager of Maintenance
• evaluating maintenance Team workers and technicians assessments and provide training requirements
• evaluating and reporting the maintenance department safety risks
