:Job Duties and Tasks
1) Resolves billing or service complaints and refers grievances to designated departments for investigation.
2) Confers with customer by phone or in person to receive orders for installation, turn-on, discontinuance, or change in service.
3) Completes contract forms, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders, using computer.
4) Determines charges for service requested and collects deposits.
5) Solicits sale of new or additional utility services.
6) Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
Arranging appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, making presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector, organizing conferences for doctors and other medical staff; building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff e.g. receptionists;
managing budgets (for catering, outside speakers, conferences, hospitality, etc);
keeping detailed records of all contacts;
reaching (and if possible exceeding) annual sales targets;
planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the area sales manager. Generally, medical sales executives have their own regional area of responsibility and plan monitoring competitor activity and competitors' products.
