Responsible for the day to day running of the Pharmacy. Providing a professional, sympathetic and supportive service to patients for the benefit of the patients and uplifting of the pharmacy.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Accurately dispensing drugs to patients according to doctor’s prescription.
Checking prescriptions for errors & making sure if they are appropriate for patients.
Ensuring the accuracy of all prescriptions, products and services supplied.
Labelling, measuring, packaging, and recording medications issued to patients.
Instructing patients on how to use medications, possible side effects, storage and important advices.
Answering questions from patients and staff about medicines.
Communicating with customers sympathetically and supportively.
Maintaining pharmaceutical stock, creating inventories and ordering for more drugs.
Maintain computerized patient profiles, outpatient pharmacy services, drug interaction screening and monitoring with the pharmacist.
Talking to regular patients to see how their treatment is going.
Contacting and working closely with other healthcare professionals.
Help in the counselling of customers in person and over the phone regarding proper drug usage.
