At the grade of Asst. General Manager, I am the management Head of Group HR & Personnel Department of 4 companies of the Al Basti & Muktha Group, which includes, Al Basti & Muktha LLC - the Civil Contracting company, Bilt Middle East LLC - the MEP Contracting company, Al Basti Inks Industry LLC -the printing inks manufacturing company and the Ductfab LLC - metallic ducts manufacturing company.
Management of HR Functions at the Group level.
Independently formulated and implemented HR & Administrative Policies & Procedures for the ANCG companies.
Coordinating and controlling all HR Functions with the HR Managers of the different companies of the Group, ensuring implemention & control of HR Policies & Procedures throught the Group uniformly.
Providing expert reviews & interpretations on all HR & Legal issues.
Coordinating & controlling Recruitment process at the Group Level.
Implementing and maintaining HR Communication System.
Employee Relations, Etc.
A group of well established large Civil Construction (ABM) and Electromechanical (Bilt) Contracting companies in Dubai, employing more than 12, 000 personnel.
Established the HR Department. Formulated and implemented HR Policies and Procedures for all the companies in the Group. Management of Recruitment. Performance management. Training & Career Development. Compensation & Rewards Administration. Employee Relations. Visa & Residency Administration.
Reporting to the General Manager, responsible for formulation, implementation & maintenance of all HR & Administrative Policies / systems of the Company.
Providing staffing / manpower plan.
Planning, organizing and controlling Recruitment of all categories of employees, including senior management and executive staff.
Responsible for preparing Job Descriptions & Job Specifications.
Searching, sourcing and short listing prospective candidates, Scheduling and conducting interviews (local and overseas), Conducting Psychometric / Career Assessment Tests and finalization & selection.
Drafting and issuing Appointment Letters & Employment Contracts
Co-ordinate with the staff concerned for the processing and renewal of Visas, Residence Permits, Health Cards, Work Permits, etc.
Ensuring proper induction / orientation is given.
Responsible for developing, processing and monitoring Performance Appraisals
Planning, developing, implementing and streamlining proper strategy for reward and incentive plans.
Assessing Training needs and organizing training programs for Management Executives and other staff.

Assess and control payments and reimbursements to employees.
Responsible for the general administration of the Head Office, Staff & Labour Accommodation facilities.

I was responsible for planning, organizing, conducting and reporting Internal Quality System Audits.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director and the General Manager. I was part of the Top Management team, responsible for the formulation and implementation of all HR & Administrative policies and procedures of the company.
My main functions were Planning, Organizing, Directing & Controlling of Manpower Planning & Recruitment.
Responsible for Compensation (salary & benefits) Administration, Insurance and Employee Welfare Administration.

Responsible for the registration and renewal of the Commercial Registration of the company with the Ministry of Commerce, communication with the Government & Statutory bodies, responsible for the compliance of the company with Statutory requirements and such other duties assigned by the MD from time to time.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, Organized and set-up the Personnel Department.
Drafted the Personnel Policies of the Company and got it approved by the Management.
Drafted the Standing Orders of the Company and negotiated its terms with the Labour Unions for their acceptance and got it approved by the Labour Department.
Successfully organized education of employees on the Personnel Policies and the Standing Orders of the company and with their acceptance and support strictly implemented the system and their terms.
I was responsible for planning and organizing Recruitments, Training and Induction, Salary Administration, Employee Welfare Administration, Performance Appraisal, Training & Development programs for Staff & Executives, Employee Counseling, etc.
Implementing the terms of the Standing Orders of the Company and maintaining Discipline.
Organizing and conducting Negotiations and Collective Bargaining with Trade Unions and finalizing Settlements were my important responsibilities.
Principles of MBO and OD were introduced to the Management and task groups (Teams). Planned, organized and co-ordinated their regular meetings, discussions, assessment of achievements and reassessment and provided them with necessary feedback, facilitating their development with the achievement of Organizational Objectives.
Other responsibilities were the general administration of the Factory & Office, representing the company in Labour Courts and Liaison with Government Authorities on Industrial & Legal affairs.
Reporting to the General Manager-Operations and the Estate Manager-Operations. Responsible for the general administration of the Estate Office & the Factory.
Responsible for the implementation of all Personnel & HRD policies of the Company such as Recruitment, Salary & Welfare Administration, Employee performance appraisal, Training and Development of labourers & executives, Career Planning, counseling and Planning, organizing and facilitating Quality Circles and Work Group meetings.
Since it was a large estate, where about 2300 employees and their families were living within the estate, the most important function was maintenance of Discipline. Issuing showcase notices and charge sheets, conducting domestic enquiries, advising management on disciplinary actions, etc. were my jobs.
I was responsible for planning and co-ordinating Collective Bargaining and Negotiations between the Management and the Trade Unions with the Labour Authorities, Representing the company in the Labour Courts & liaison with Govt. Industrial & Labour Departments.
Training Methods & Management Course Successfully completed an intensive course, over 42 hours, conducted by The High Council for Vocational Training under the Directorate of Manpower Development of the Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs, State of Bahrain.
1.Master of Social Works (M.S.W.) – (1984 – 1986) – Distinction: Ist Class. Postgraduate Degree in Personnel(HR) Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare.
