Implementation and Sustaining of Process Safety Systems developed by Shell, in operating asset viz:-
• Identification of Major Accident Hazards, their controls and recovery measures
• Identification and implementation of Process Safety minimum standards in modifications
• Implementation of Safe Shift operations which includes management of Overrides, Alarm rate, Shift management etc
• Coordinating with maintenance team to identify Process Safety critical equipment in there ERP module and how to ensure the healthiness by means of Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Participation in Risk based Reliability maintenance assessments like RBI, RCM, SIL .
• Conducting Process Safety review meeting with site management
• Setting and monitoring of Site Process Safety KPIs
• Incident investigation and dissemination of learning from incidents

Accountable for the coordination of Process technical safety reviews of existing facilities including clear and practical recommended solutions
Provide plant start-up reviews (PSSR),
Responsible for coordinating flare and relief scenario development and complex relief sizing.
Development of HEMP studies as key inputs to the HSE Cases (HAZID/HAZOP, Bow-tie Analysis, HSE Activity Plans and Assurance activities, major hazards assessment, Safety Critical Element identification and Performance Standards)
Review technical standards (Design Engineering Practices) to ensure these are appropriate and fit for purpose in HSE risk management content.
Perform Technical Authority responsibilities for certain Technical Safety deliverables
Monitoring and disseminating industry expertise and best practice through the facilitation of workshops and provision of training
Developing practices for process safety strategies with reference to Shell’s processes
Implementation and Sustaining of Process Safety Systems developed by Dupont, in operating asset viz:-
• Participation in Process Hazard Analysis of the existing units which includes Process Hazard review and Consequence Analysis.
• Involved in hazardous scenario development using ALOHA, PHAST software.
• Review of Plant changes for impact on Process Safety
• Participation in development of Emergency Response and Control Plans, Mock drill of ER plans.
• Imparting training to the employees on various elements of Process Safety, what are the requirements of various elements, the terminology, how to comply with the requirement
• Identification of documents which are critical to process safety and ensuring that they are always updated as per frequency.
HAZOP/What if and PreHA study for Changes in the process units.
Participating in Plant Safe Startup Review audits after Major Shutdowns and Change implementation.
Site Coordinator for Process Incident Investigation system, managing the Incident reporting, Investigation and Learning system of the site.
Participating in Incident Investigations with specialization in Why Tree analysis system for identification underlying causes of Incidents.
Ensuring Compliance to legal requirements w.r.t. to Factory Act, MSIHC rules, etc.
Various Safety audits for checking the compliance to legal requirement, process safety management, procedures, workplace improvements etc.
Site Process safety metrics (leading and lagging) preparation, trending, analysis of data and presentation to Site and Group management.
Ensuring compliance to OHSAS 18001 Management System through audits and training.
Worked as a Process Shift Engineer in the department which is handling Carbon Disulphide, the responsibilities included:-
Responsibility in shift included control of various parameters for optimum and quality production confirming to stringent quality norms,
The main Unit Operations Controlled was drying, cutting, condensing, conveying etc.
Reporting of Shift activities and daily production planning to Senior Management.
Manpower management as it was a Semi Automatic plant.
Worked as a Process Shift Engineer in the department which is handling Caustic Soda, Furnace Oil has a boiler, the responsibilities included:
