Worked as Engineer Representative for Ministry of Housing at Al Madina Al Shamaliya, Mixed use development project creating an urban town located on Northern Coast of Kingdom of Bahrain. This project at Island 13 & 14 (east) is expected to deliver approximately 2000 housing units under the affordable housing scheme by Ministry of Housing.

Our Main Role is to act as Contract Manager and Site Supervision Consultant on Island 13 and 14 (East) for:

•Primary Infrastructure Project
•Construction of Vehicular and Pedestrian bridge

Working in the Capacity of Engineers’ Representative for carrying out:

•Developed Project Execution plan, Quality and HSE management plans for the overall project. Involved in construction supervision with a team of inspection engineers and contract administration for both primary infrastructure work and bridge contract required for PPP contract as per Ministry of Works Standard contract agreement and condition of contract.
•Design coordination for approval / handover of utilities installation from statutory authorities such as Ministry of Works, EWA, EDD, WDD, Environmental departments in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Primary Infrastructure Work:

•The Primary Infrastructure Network comprises of 5.5 kilometer length of four lane Highway (Primary road), Secondary and Tertiary road network with five raised junction. The work included review of design drawings, shop drawing approval for complete road construction works along with following installation works:
- Dredging, Reclamation and 1.5 km Breakwater construction works along sea coast
- GRP Storm water drainage network complete with Oil interceptor and Outfalls.
- Ductile iron Potable water distribution network from Water Station and commissioning.
- 11kV Distribution network, Street lighting with termination and Energizing.
- Irrigation network for landscaping
- Telecommunication network
- ITS ducts and Traffic signal work installation at junctions
- Dewatering, Temporary breakwater and Culvert construction within Major Canal
-Developing combined infrastructure interface design drawing of utilities along with interface coordination with Deep gravity sewer/Micro-tunneling and treated sewage Effluent network for irrigation under this infrastructure project.
•Chaired weekly program and progress meetings.

Vehicular and Pedestrian Bridges (Design and Build contract):

•Involved in the design development process right from Approval in Principle document approval by Ministry of Works, Preliminary design and detailed design development with Third Party Independent Certification by COWI and issue of IFC drawing.
Involved in construction supervision thru a team of inspection engineers for managing overall construction of Vehicular and Pedestrian Bridge right from Canal dewatering, piling works, pile cap, pier and deck construction incl. post tensioning, deck waterproofing, traffic lane marking, navigational light installation, crash barrier installation at approach and departure section etc complete until handover to statutory authorities.
•The Vehicular Bridge is a two-way, four lanes 108-meter-long, 18-meter-wide bridge including walk ways spanning over three spans across a canal and connecting Island 13 & 14 with all major infrastructure utilities installation. The Vehicular Bridge is cast in situ voided slab of 1.75meter thickness with post tensioning works carried out by MK4.
