• Part of an ongoing Project IRIS, and also Responsible for overseeing and managing the effective operation of Compliance systems of the Group, reviewing system parameters and identifying ways in which to optimize efficiency.
• Perform end to end process of AML- CDD and ECDD, SAR Filing, investigating and reporting.

• Perform Customer Screening on customers associated with the bank and its departments, and check if their business and associations are in par with the banks policies and procedures.
• Perform the required KYC screening on new clients by documenting and corroborating the information obtained on the client as required by the global
• Utilizing KYC procedures in a variety of independent research sources (i.e. Lexus Nexus, World Check, Internal Databases, etc)
• Investigating and reporting Suspicious Activity Reports ("SAR") on suspicious activity and fraud cases associated with the bank
• Managing the effective and timely roll-out of systems and major enhancements in accordance with the Compliance Systems Roadmap.

• Responsible for managing the Group’s Compliance Intelligence capabilities (responding to queries from third parties such as regulators, law enforcement authorizes, correspondent banks etc.) and using this and other internal and external intelligence to gather trends and typologies that can be used to inform Group Policy, procedures, training material, watch lists, systems parameters, detection scenario’s etc.

• Investigating, escalating and reporting regulatory breaches, issues and concerns

• Prepare/ send STRs to Central Bank, subsequent update of STR register, follow-up, communicate response to Branches and ensure action taken accordingly.

• Perform Enhanced due Diligence and Mandatory Enhanced Due Diligence (MEDD) on customers deemed high Risk.

• Decisions regarding transaction monitoring issues and cases wherein customer accounts / cards have been affected by suspicious or fraudulent transactions.
• KYC verification under internal black list, Central Bank black list and World Check system and reporting of suspicious customers / transactions to regulatory authorities
• Reviewing of payments, positive balances on credit cards to ensure that there are no suspicious transactions or payments from customers.

• Document and maintain all transaction monitoring evidences and coordinate with internal / regulatory audits, Initiate Request for Information (RFI) and follow-up with the Business Partners globally and Management as needed, Upon receipt of a request, the team conducts extensive investigation of the various suspects who were alleged to be involved in any kind of money laundering/frauds or other financial crimes.

• The team conducts extensive Enhanced Due Diligence on the customers through various tools like Regulatory DataCorp, World-Check, Google, and Lexis-Nexis, Media sources, etc and highlights the adverse findings against the suspects.

• The team also conducts investigation into the accounts by reviewing the transactions (Transaction Monitoring/Analysis) of all types of accounts maintained by the suspects.

• Coordinated and performed basic and enhanced due diligence KYC screening on new and existing US & Non-US clients, Worked in compliance with USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and UN sanctions, OCC and FATF recommendations.

• Worked in a sophisticated AML environment with the basic objective of detecting and preventing possible Money Laundering / Terrorist Financing activities/threats and thereby safeguarding the Bank’s interests, reputation and regulator & customer trustworthiness.
