Main Responsibilities
• Supervise all health staff including midwives, nursing aid, contractual staffs and deployed Health Human Resources from DOH
• Draft Request letter and other communication letters
• Consolidate, review and validate midwives’ monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Prepare other data including DILG-LGU Scorecard
• Analyze health data and utilize for planning
• Participate in the formulation of local health plans
• Attend child birth delivery in the birthing facility
• Prepare and submit proposals for local health events and activities to magnify health awareness
• Conduct/ Organize health events and information dissemination activities in the municipal and barangay level
• Provide different Family Planning Services, including IUD insertion
• Coordinator of the following WHO programs: National Tuberculosis Program (NTP), Family Planning, Field Health Services and Information System (FHSIS), Health Promotion Activities, Adolescence Health, HIV/AIDS Control Program and other Infectious Diseases Programs.
• Process budgetary requirements for local health activities
• Function as officer in charge of the facility when municipal health officer is not available.

Other Responsibilities
• Undertakes a comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of clients
• Ensures the client is provided with appropriate information to make informed decisions relating to treatment, and care reflects clients preferences adapting the mechanism informed choice and voluntarism
• Ensures documentation is current, accurate, timely and maintains confidentiality within a legal and ethical framework
• Demonstrates computer skills necessary to organize data for essential care delivery
• Educates client and do counseling to maintain and promote health according to client needs
• Takes appropriate nursing actions in relation to communicable disease management
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing order
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and patient records
• Updates public health job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Disseminate health information by working with local officials, the community and schools
• Respond to emergency relief situations

• Serves patients by visiting homes; determining patient and family needs; developing health care plans; providing nursing services and treatments; referring patients with social and emotional problems to other community agencies.
• Provides health information by instructing family in care and rehabilitation of patient; maintaining health and prevention of disease for family members; teaching home nursing, maternal and child care; providing instructions in other subjects related to individual and community welfare.
• Updates public health job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Respond to emergency relief situations
• Assist in the OPD during consultation
• Attend child birth delivery in the birthing facility
• Conduct house to house visitation when deem necessary
• Assist in the implementation of DOH programs and activities
• Conduct Lectures in the community and schools
• Demonstrates computer skills necessary to organize data for essential care delivery
• Perform other clinical and clerical work
