Major Responsibilities: (Site Quality Audit for ETISALAT Alcatel-Lucent 2G 3Gg/LTE
modernization Roll Out Projects, UAE)
* Perform site quality inspection for all Alcatel-Lucent subcon installation and
implementation for 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE technology for macro, micro and IBS
coverage.
* Preparing actual site report using I-Form Tool Application for evaluate site if
FAIL, PASS, and /or CONDITIONAL PASS for site acceptance.
* Distinguishing snags and site punch list to clear and making advices and
comments for appropriate and proper quality installation/implementation.
* Coordinate with Field Deployment Engineer and contractors regarding the
readiness, status and access issues.
* Climbing different type of towers and monopoles of Etisalat.
180H Projects - ISP (Installation & Rectification Team)
* Checking and supervise the installation of 3P, 2P, ADSL, TV and DEL by
the technicians inside the customer premises as per ETISALAT standard and
safety procedures.
* ONT device should be properly installed and secured.
* Technician audit base on their proper (uniform, tools, material, and behavior
for approaching to customer side).
* Calling and confirming from the customer, if the services is properly working
done by the technicians.
* Support field technicians related in technical issues for activation in back
office.
* Update the engineer section regarding for the shortage of materials of
installation that caused of incomplete and delayed of works.
* Reporting/submitting daily, weekly inspection report to Engineer /Manager.
44H Projects - OSP (Splicing & Cable Pulling Team)
* Supervised all OSP technicians for quality/safety and standard installations.
* Inspection of outdoor works (JRC, FDH, and MRT).
* Inspection and audit of safety materials and tools used by the teams.
* Inspection of cable arrangement, Joint Closure arrangement in JRC.
* Report damage joint box, and FDH cabinet to supervisor and concerned
section for urgent rectification action.
* Checking labels and proper coding of cables.
* Reporting/submitting daily, weekly inspection report to Engineer /Manager.
206H Projects - FDH Uplifting (FDH Maintenance)
* Inspection of splitter modules place properly within the rack.
* Does splitter rack have enough space for maintenance purpose.
* If FDH, splitters and mini ODF are properly labeled.
* Indoor/outdoor FDH should be secured.
* Internal cable should be manage/arrange properly.
GSM and IBS Projects - (2G, 3G, 4G and LTE)
* Monitoring the VIP sites which are ready for integration, activation.
* Coordinate closely with other departments in terms of projects delivery such
as SAQ team, RF planning and transmission team.
* Informing and updating the sub-contractors to clear the snags during the
acceptance stage.
* Arranging and performing the complete site survey DAS and GSM room
along with contractors.
* Managing the delivery of IBS full turnkey, Pico repeater, antenna’s and
tapping and sharing sites through implementation of 2G, 3G, and 4G
technologies.
Acceptance of 180H site diaries/invoices of all ETISALAT contractors in NE.
* Update and monitor all ISP contractors base on their Daily Progress output in ISP
database system.
* Supervise and informed ISP contractor’s to clear the snags and pending cases report
by migration team contractors.
* Coordinate to network planning and other department.
* Responsible for preparing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) weekly report.
* Update data using PMS, CBCM, GDPT, and ISP Database (Provisioning Management
System; Corporate Billing & Customer management; GPON Development Progress Tracker).
* Getting appointment to customer before proceeding to clear service order/dockets.
* Installation of fiber optics drop cable FTTH / replacement in case of faulty or
damage.
* Installation and splicing fiber optic cable using CORNING, FUJIKURA &
SUMITOMO fiber tools.
* Responsible for troubleshooting of faults from FDH up to customer sides.
* House drop installation of fiber and cat-6 cable from customer premises.
* Checking and maintaining of optical power from access fiber / splitter input, splitter
port up to customer termination drop.
* Ability to carry and use heavy equipement for installation.
* Ability for the installation of equipment cabinet, cable tray etc. in standard process.
* ONT installation and migrations from copper wire to fiber optics including UTP-
LAN cabling and splicing.
* 3P, 2P, DEL, ADSL and IPTV activation with configuration of ONT, routers and
modems.
Responsible for the network troubleshooting of CATV and cable internet due to fiber
link, RF signal and/ or power supply related outages.
* Provide recommendations for re-occurring problems and repeated outages to
facilitate troubleshooting and restoration of service of both CATV/ data connection.
* Responsible for inspection and supervise the implementation of re-cabling, re-
routing, reworks and other recommended projects to address re-occurring network
problems and repeated outages.
* Alignment of RF amplifiers to ensure a reliable transmission of RF signals and
quality of service throughout the network.
* Responsible for troubleshooting of ingress affecting data communication network
performance for a quality internet service.
* Responsible for the operation and maintenance of outdoor uninterruptable power
supply to verify its capacity to provide standby operations in case of power
interruptions.
