Leadership and Functional Management
• Heading the corporate team composed of planners and cost controllers, and responsible of functionally managing the project team-members, including commercial managers, deployed in Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Algeria, Iraq, and KSA.
• Staffing, forming and mentoring project teams in all business units and across the Middle East
• Conceiving corporate and project-specific procedures and oversee their implementation across all business units
• Acting as a subject-matter expert and knowledge reference for all matters related to activity and cost planning

Cost Planning, Monitoring and Control
• Reviewing and auditing budgets and cash-flows of all the company’s projects targeting margin maximization and positive cash cycle (average total value of yearly budget of 310 MUSD)
• Supervising project teams in setting baseline budgets and forecasting costs at completion of large projects
• Creating cost reports and dashboards to the firm’s chairman of the board, general manager, finance manager and other major stakeholders

Project Programming
• Overseeing the creation of the baseline programme for each project and ensuring its compliance with the industry’s best practices and contractual requirements
• Receiving, reviewing, and adjusting each project schedule update and assisting in the preparation of recovery action plans to address delays and keep the project on the right track

Forensic Delay Analysis
• Supervising the preparation of Extension of Time claims in case of project delays along with their full supporting documents including exhibits, impacted schedules, quantum, etc...
• Conducting forensic delay analysis using time-impact analysis and other industry-specific techniques (as per AACE’s International Recommended Practice) for defending the company in arbitration and other dispute resolution proceedings

Enterprise Resource Planning and Digital Transformation
• Preparing the Functional Requirements Document (FRD) of the company’s new ERP platform and acting as an SME/Business Process Owner for the implementation of the Project Management module across all subsidiaries and geographies
• Leading the cross-functional UAT testing, training, workflow preparation, and user role definition

During the last 5 years of my tenure as department head I performed the above tasks for the projects listed below:
- DUBAI: Design and Construction of Sewage Treatment Plant in Deira Island. Owner: PALM DEIRA L.L.C. Project Value: 82 Million AED
- SHARJAH: Sharjah Waste to Energy Project - Phase I. Owner: CNIM. Project Value: 118 Million AED
- ABU DHABI: Design & Build of the Taweelah Aluminum Extrusion Plant & Cast House. Project Owner: TALEX. PMC: AECOM. Project Value: 285 Million AED.
- QATAR: TECH-4 EPC Contract to construct three buildings for use by QSTP - Qatar Science and Technology Park at Education City. Project Owner: QF (Qatar Foundation). PMC: ASTAD. Project Value: 220 Million QAR.
- ALGERIA: Ain Tsila Central Processing Facility. On-going project. Project Owner: PETROFAC. Project Value: 64 Million USD.
- ALGERIA: Accommodation Camp for GTIM (Groupement Timimoun). On-going project. Project Owner: GTIM. Project Value: 72 Million USD.
