Responsibility Description
• Provides active support in developing organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, recommendations and provides financial advice on business strategies
• Ensures efficient and effective management of emaratech and its group company’s’ finances through all necessary financial controls, systems, and processes
• Establishes finance function objectives in line with organizational priorities; ensures compliance with Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and UAE Central Bank rules and regulations
• Develops and directs the implementation of strategic business and operational plans

Budgeting and Financial Planning:
• Sets the framework for annual business planning and budgeting, timelines, frequency, pre-work from department heads
• Leads and provides valuable inputs in the budget planning activity for the organization
• Assists subsidiary heads with variance analysis and corrective mechanisms
• Supports all approved audit requests with reporting and any other requirements
• Supervises all aspects of cash flow in the organization and group companies and establishes policies and procedures to regulate the same

Fund Management :
• Develops a short term and long-term rolling cash flow forecast which can be put to multiple use by the management
• Ensures optimum utilization of the cash balance and suggests strategy to effectively use the same to generate incremental revenues
• Assess risk/return trade-offs while making investments
• Tracks working capital, long-term, high-yield and other portfolios in order to ensure efficient utilization of funds

Financial Department Operations :
• Establishes review mechanism for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records
• Defines and implements best practices to monitor and measure error free execution of all aspects of financial accounting and operations
• Oversees the general ledger and control operations to ensure reconciled and efficient execution and accurate bookkeeping.
• Lends support and resources to any relevant strategic projects on an as needed basis
• Oversees and ensures revenue collection and recognition through e- collections

Reporting and MIS :
• Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and variance reports
• Identifies key business measures and sets up monitoring systems to ensure that the desired targets are achieved
• Presides over preparation of trend analyses/ reports on financial results, costs, revenues, cost income ratio to give clarity on the financial health of the business to top management and Board of Directors

• Ensures all financial reports and analyses is provided to ICD on a regular basis are per required rules and regulations

People Management:
• Ensures that the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained throughout the department
• Oversees workload, conducts performance evaluations, and sign off on reward, recognition and career guidance along with necessary disciplinary actions as appropriate
• Reviews the manning and training requirements of the team and endeavors to meet them
