❖ Ensure operation and production targets are met.
❖ Train and coach new and old employees and recommend training needs where necessary.
❖ Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to managers.
❖ Ensure HSEQ standards and procedures are followed.
❖ Follow up work order requests, raise Permit-To-Work, JSA, TRA, JHA, etc., for maintenance team and
ensure compliance to safety procedures and practices.
❖ Ensure safe plant shutdown and startup base on SOP before and after maintenance activities and other plant requirements.
❖ Ensure proper de-energization and energization of equipment and machines before and after maintenance
activities.
❖ Liaise with managers, urea plant, QAQC, logistics departments to get information to aid in plant operational
activities.
❖ Liaise with managers and service departments (mechanical, instrumentation, electrical and civil) to manage
preventive and corrective maintenance activities within the plant and ensure downtime is reduced.
❖ Ensure zero material spillage or leakage, zero product quality deviation, and best production during
operations.
❖ Conduct toolbox meetings and safety talks with staffs, operators and contractor workers regularly.
❖ Identify and report unsafe acts, near misses, and unsafe conditions within the plant and suggest mitigation
actions regularly.
❖ Ensure resources management (manpower, materials and tools) and mobilization on time during shift hours.
❖ Ensure proper maintenance of company facilities in the control room and offices, and inspect the conditions
of all fire systems and lightening systems regularly.
❖ Ensure proper planning, scheduling and execution of operations during shift hours.
❖ Lead plant tours and presentations for visitors, customers, stakeholders and regulatory authorities, providing
clear explanations of plant processes, systems and procedures.
❖ Prepare reports, record and document all activities within the plant.
❖ Foster and maintain a positive work environment and instill discipline and professional work attitude

❖ Monitor alarm of processes and equipment and adjust plant operating conditions and set points.
❖ Communicate with field operators about parameter adjustment and report to shift team lead about
abnormalities and process deviations.
❖ Initiate start-up / shutdown of equipment, units and plant.
❖ Control start-up, shutdown and emergencies by alternations of speed, temperature, pressure, level and
flowrates as necessary.
❖ Monitor the conditions of control systems and safety systems.
❖ Manage report systems, event recording, data logging, history, trending system.

❖ Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME) for projects.
❖ Prepare project schedule, manpower schedule, project guidelines and procedures and follow up on the
execution accordingly.
❖ Participate in project tendering, bidding and negotiation processes.
❖ Participate in measurement of work in progress and general supervision at various sites.
❖ Inspect and report to project manager the details of the project including progress, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner.
❖ Maintain accurate and complete records and documents as required by laws, government policies, and
administrative regulations.

❖ Operate various power utilities equipment to ensure smooth and continuous supply of high voltage electric
power to the various plants, admin buildings and entire complex which includes two main gas turbines, two
emergency diesel generators, two plant and instrument air compressors, six UPS systems, and a fuel gas skid.
❖ Operate and maintain processes and systems of plant equipment for the production of steam, plant and
instrument air, demineralized water, cooling water, fire water and potable water.
❖ Monitor production processes and plant operations in the control room and report any abnormalities.
❖ Communicate with the QA/QC Laboratory, sampling and testing process streams as required and taking
appropriate actions when necessary.
❖ Participate in all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programmes.
