Responsibilities & Duties
•Responsible for research, design, development, documentation and testing of various antennas including active antennas with Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and circuits.
•Design, development and testing of phased array antennas, direction finding antenna arrays.
•Design, development and testing of RF circuits and PCB layouts.
•Electrical testing of antennas using VNA and anechoic chamber and documenting the results.
•Handling task of preparing presentations and developing proposals for future capture.
•Setting up testing equipment and documenting the results.
•Responsible for providing technical support to senior management staff.
Projects Handled
•Design and Development of L1 band Active GPS antenna along with an Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) circuit design which is printed on the circuit board for IAF, NASIK to be used on Jaguar A/C.
•Design and development of microstrip printed patch antennas with linear and circular polarization.
•Designed, manufactured and tested phased array antenna for Radar applications.
•Design, development and testing of various UHF, VHF, VHF/UHF blade antennas, Dual-band blade antenna which are suitable for supersonic & subsonic aerodynes with fixed-wing, rotor-wing or slide wing.
•Designed, manufactured and tested V/UHF phase matched blade antenna, designed for homing and direction finding application supplied to Elbit systems, Israel -SAR and Data Links.
•Study and Development of Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) antenna, designed for search and rescue operation in fixed and rotor wing applications for Elbit systems, Israel -SAR and Data Links.
•Designed, manufactured and tested various DME products like Military Radio Altimeter (RAM) Antenna and Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) Antennas. These antennas are specifically designed for operating in the UHF/L bands. Also various ILS product range consists of VOR/LOC/GS Antennas and MARKER BEACON Antennas. These are specifically designed low profile, light weight antennas operating in the VHF & UHF communication bands.
•Study and Development of IFF antenna operating in the L-band for identifying friend or foe,
Telemetry Antennas operating in the L Band, S Band & C Band, ultra wideband spiral antennas with frequency range of 1-12 GHz, 2-18GHz and 1-18GHz, Light weight wideband Manpack antenna with flexible gooseneck for military communications.
•Design, development and testing of Whip antenna operating in VHF, UHF and L Band, handheld foldable triple band radio antenna, Triple band cuff Button antenna for wearable applications, microstrip patch array for Ku band application, Sleeve antenna array for Direction Finding(DF) application, Log Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA), Frequency, Pattern and polarization Reconfigurable antenna, PCB Antenna for Zig-Bee module, Vivaldi antenna, Double ridged dual polarized horn antennas (0.5-6GHz), Conformal patch antenna (2.2-2.3GHz) project for DLRL(On-going).
One year plus extensive knowledge and experience as a RF Antenna Engineer (Antenna & Radome) in designing, fabricating and testing and now working
Experience in working from 300KHZ to 20GHz.
•Proficiency in Microwave and Millimeter wave Antennas and array designing using Ansys HFSS CST Microwave studio, ADS and CAD FEKO.
•Experience in carrying out antenna measurements (Indoor and Outdoor) using VNA (Agilent E5071C) and Anechoic Chambers.
•Hands-on experience in building of antenna prototypes using photolithography and antenna experimental work.
•RF Circuit Design and simulation using Agilent ADS, SystemVue and other Smith Chart matching programs.
•Built and tested various PCB layouts using Or CAD software.
•Hands on experience with microwave testing equipments and device characterization using VNA, Spectrum analyzer, LCR meter, RF power meter.
•Customer interaction and consultancy in many companies related to Microwave/RF/Antenna field in all over the world.
•Customer trainings and supports related to Microwave/RF/Antenna simulations.
•Proficient in algorithm development environments of MATLAB.
