DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Study and check the information/documents received prior to pricing. Prepare
decline letters for quotation request that are not within the scope and
acknowledgement/request for more details whenever the data’s received are found
insufficient/or not clear.
Study tender documents and list down particular specifications.
Coordinate with the technical (design) and engineering department
to discuss what system is to be used in a certain project
Prepare queries/clarifications.
Prepare inquiries. (supplier/structural calculation if needed)
Study tender documents highlighting the major requirements for tender submission.
Review of contract documents in general.
Supervise and monitor the pricing prepared by my subordinate.
Carefully analyze the project being priced using engineering judgment and analysis
to arrive at reasonable price.
Discuss costing to superior.
Prepare draft of the quotation clearly stating the Bill of Quantities with descriptive
technical specifications. Provide attachment design reference sketches and when
necessary and clearly state/note whatever there is proposed deviations between the
inquiry and quotation, subsequently finalizing the quotation after checking.
Ensuring that all required documentations for the tender submission are gathered
compiled and submitted.
Prepare quantity and cost estimates, evaluate change orders, purchase orders and
other relevant documents as per assigned projects.
Preparation of valuations and supporting documentations for variation claims in the
contract.
Update costs and prices as needed.
Evaluate quotations of potential subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and review specifications for proposed project.
Check accomplishment at site in preparation of Payment Certificate.
Prepare and rehashed quantity estimates.
Prepare quantity take-off for bid proposals.
Prepare Bill of Quantities & Materials.
Attend field coordination meetings and coordinate with other departments.
Conduct job site meeting to review work progress strategies and come up with
possible work improvement schemes.
Guide subordinates in the effective implementations of the work program.
Submit construction reports to provide data for monitoring and other related control
essential for project management.
Prepare weekly accomplishment report.
Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure availability of materials and
equipment required for the project.
