Responsible for Procurement Services, Campus and Distance Bookstores, Supply Chain and Material Management, and the establishment of retail sales opportunities. This was a new position at TRU with the expectation that I would review all current business operations, assess the needs of the internal and external stakeholders, and recommend process, policy and procedural changes to senior administration and then be responsible for ensuring the changes were communicated to the campus and external community. Duties included: coordinating the day to day business of the sales department, including supervising staff of Business Manager and salespeople; sales/marketing training; seeking out and building client base, maximizing customer satisfaction while maintaining dealership goals; liaising with Mazda Canada and other industry contacts; advertising and analyzing monthly financial statements.
