Position: PIPE MACHINE OPERATOR

Duties and Responsibilities:
❖ Responsible for ensuring that the pipe machine is running at optimal speeds keeping in mind that preventive maintenance and other parameters are take care off before and during the run. As a result of maintaining all parameters, rejection and wastage percentages are kept at minimal levels.
❖ Ensures that communication within his team and with other services (QC, stores, maintenance) departments is clear.
❖ Ensure that the Machine operates efficiently to get maximum pipes output with minimal wastage
❖ Ensures that the resins are correctly mixed and the correct raw materials are available before commencement of production to make quality pipes.
❖ Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure the pipe thickness, product quality and stencil / label are meeting the design requirements.
❖ Informs the superior about the daily out-put status to ensure schedules are met.
❖ Reports any accidents, problems, mistakes or non-conformities he faces during production to inform his superior about all activities and update record.
❖ Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
❖ Ensure that his area is kept clean at all times to comply with housekeeping regulations.
❖ Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety/the safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
❖ Responsible for ensuring that the pipe production is done in accordance to the procedures laid down and each team member performs his role as required. That wastage is kept to the minimum acceptable and rejection of pipes does not occur.
❖ Knowledge of required quality standards, visual defects.

Position: LATHE MACHINE OPERATOR
Duties and Responsibilities:
❖ Responsible for machining GRE / GRP items to the required dimensions (applicable for lathe, coupler milling, and calibration machines)
❖ Operates the lathe, coupler milling, or calibration machine to machine GRP / GRE items to the required dimensions and quality standards as per the schedule and duration set by the scheduling department / foreman.
❖ Informs the assistant foreman of the daily out-put status to ensure schedules are met.

Position: Calibration Machine Calibrator
Duties and Responsibilities:
❖ Knowledge of operating lathe / coupler milling / calibration machines and details of the capacity, spares & maintenance, and reading product drawings
❖ Knowledge of measuring instruments viz. Verniers, Micrometers, Pi-Tapes, Steel tapes, Sprit levels etc
❖ Ability to read and understand product drawings.
❖ Detailed knowledge of visual requirements.
❖ Knowledge of product specifications - dimensional and visual requirements.

Position: Slitting Machine Calibrator
Duties and Responsibilities:
❖ Provides proper tools and material to be used in production
❖ Responsible for cleanliness of the surrounding before and after production
❖ Checks for sharpness blade either clean the blade or apply silicon oil on it
replaces the blade when needed
❖ Coordinate with production supervisor for the job requirement.
❖ Loads the jumbo properly and thirds it up to the mandrel
❖ Checks tab to be used (plain or colored)
❖ Responsible for proper usage of core according to job order
❖ Sets counter according to setting. It I would depend on length meters of tape
indicate in the order
❖ Operates the machine and adjust the speed control according to desires speed
❖ Ensure proper placement of tabs on the tape roll.
❖ Make some adjustments of finished goods to meet quality standard when defects occur.
❖ Unloads mandrel with finished good at the box and reloads with empty core.
❖ Coordinate with QC personnel for quality appearance.
❖ Reports immediately any occurrence of machine trouble of production supervisor for proper action
❖ Ensure proper handling and pilling of finished product to prevent them from cascading as well as from accumulating dirt. This well helps avoid rejects and reworks
❖ Turns over operation to incoming shift with full details
❖ Performs other task that may be assigned to him from time to time by his superior
❖ Does some maintenance job for minor machine problem
❖ Get jumbo roll from coating section and brings it down to slitting section for loading to machine
❖ Coordinate with core cutter operator regarding the type of core used
❖ Ensure that the clean observes security safety regulation to be a good production.
