As part of research, studies, development and reverse engineering, my role to perform various test on failure analysis of metal samples, OEM and non-OEM material evaluation. This includes different material testing for metals, polymers and lubricant used in specialized military vehicles. A well versed to use with various equipment of mechanical, metallurgical, thermal analysis, spectrometer for failure investigation.
Assigned as Laboratory Supervisor in mechanical testing, metallurgy and corrosion department, signing corresponding technical reports, assisting TPI during witnessing, responding technical enquiries from clients regarding testing requirements, specifications, codes and standards.
Generally engaged to work in metallurgy department activities and testing. Ensures compliance with all policy procedures in the laboratory. Worked in mechanical testing and metallurgical works. Update and review standard specification requirements for testing, methodologies, Procedure Qualification and Welder Qualification, and Consumable Welding Qualification.
Qualified Test Performed: Tensile, Charpy Impact, Hardness and Weld Hardness Survey, Macro and Micro-examination, Metallographic Analysis for Steel, Aluminum and Copper, Field Metallographic Replication and Result Interpretation, Etching, Inclusion, Ferrite Count, PMI test, Grain Size Measurement, OES Chemical Analysis, Salt Spray Test, Pitting and Crevice Corrosion Test.
Performing mechanical testing and metallurgical works i.e., tensile, impact test, load and failure test, hardness & weld hardness survey, macro & micro examinations, inclusion & phase counts, etc. Conducts routine microscopic examinations of metals and alloys to determine their porosity, homogeneity, and to detect internal fractures, impurities, and similar defects in metals. Act as deputy to supervise and coordinate laboratory activities in metallurgy department. Ensures compliance with all policy procedures in the laboratory. Establishes quality assurance measures such as updated calibration of machines, testing proficiency for each technician, validation of customer complaints & audits.
Generally responsible for quality programs, laboratory testing and audits to confirm systems, policies, and procedures are in place and being adhered to; establish inspection plan for QC/QA inspectors; verify all non-conformances & quality issues; supervise and confirm all QC/QA Inspectors to ensure accomplishment of task effectively; generate monthly report for quality department including customer complaints, non-conformity, and quality KPI; verify testing results of wire mesh samples for tensile; bend and re-bend; and weld shear test as per standard specifications.
Establishes quality measures as guide in accreditation of raw materials. Conceptualizes quality action plans that will maintain high quality level of the steel sheet products. Update and establish product specifications and ensuring compliance by production. Establish and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, perform quality audit.
Directly involved in handling process in melting, casting and drawing section of gold wire. Formalized engineering methodology and implementation of process engineering change. Conducting engineering test and studies for process improvements. Work with production team in developing product and process structure.
Master degree with units taken only. Major in Metallurgy. Basically focus on metal application and its process.
