Project: Turbine Generator Replacement at Darlington Nuclear Plant ($600 million)

• Reviewed supplier’s data sheets, drawings, O&M Manuals, Health & Safety plans, and Test and Commission plans for the design and procurement of HVAC equipment, fire protection, fire doors, pumps and air ducts
• Developed engineering work package for the modification on the Turbine stator while maintaining Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) above 1
• Prepared mechanical design packages in accordance with the engineering design requirements, codes and standards (CSA N285.0-08). Packages included piping drawings, OPEX, calculations and bill of materials
• Gained experience in pipe sizing and wall thickness calculations using ASME B31.1 and B31.3
• Coordinated with internal and external stakeholders to ensure engineering activities are completed on schedule
• Ensured relevant Health and Safety (HSE) and Human Factors principles are incorporated in design and followed during construction work

• Led four engineering packages; maintained Schedule Performance Index and Cost Performance Index at 0.95 and greater
• Designated as the Single Point of Contact to effectively communicate project status and results to clients and stakeholders
• Identified Witness, Hold and Verification points on Acceptance and Prototype Test Plans and performed quality inspections based on the points identified
• Performed QA audits on subcontractors and prepared Surveillance reports identifying results of inspections and areas of improvement
• Resolved engineering issues, and implemented changes to over 600 mechanical drawings, calculations and Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
