Brief Synopsis of Research: o This project is based on finding suitable methods to synthesize ADN at near zero temperatures instead of existing ultralow temperature synthesis using low cost materials. The near zero synthesis of ADN was successfully attempted by modifications of the synthesis method. o Second objective of the study is to developed method to alter crystalline structure of ADN and perform hydrophobic coating in a single step to increase shelf life and performance. o The last objective of the project is to characterize electrolytic decomposition of ADN based liquid fuels in micro thrusters based on silicon polymer to identify their applications in nano satellites.
Thesis summary: Application of ultrasound radiation to binary ethanol-water mixture to generate mist droplets and subsequent collection of ethanol enriched mist has been suggested as an alternate to conventional distillation. This phenomenon was evaluated to deduce its infeasibility on the account of masking effect of evaporation and detection of errors in mathematical equations.
