Tackle daily tasks of translation (in Arabic-English pair) and editing of features including news, department pages and work documents. Work entails maintaining a consistent language register and tone of resultant text. Also entailed is content categorization and tagging in the content management system
● Participated at drafting of the annual training plan
● Facilitated training programs with training providers
● Assisted with the development of employees through helping them find and correspond with relevant graduate programs inside and outside of the Kingdom
● Helped establish and manage an in-house training unit
● Assisted at creation, management and delivery of an employee orientation program
● Maintained relations with key training providers including Institute of Public Administration, Arab Administrative Development Organization, Saudi universities and professional providers
With support and encouragement of T&D Director, I provided primary knowledge and practical lab training for my colleagues on various IT basics including Internet Search Techniques, Email Usage and MS PowerPoint Usage. This role included :
- Course promotion to prospect trainees
- Course enrollment and time tracking of trainees
- Design of course material
- Delivery of training course
- Preparing trainees certificates of participation
These courses ran for 3 days each.
Designed the Arabization project web site where we posted project timings and current status
I translated Red Hat 6.1 Installation manual ( about 70 pp. total )
I hold a bachelors degree of translation ( English language )
