• Develop and enforce a robust, integrated safety management system specific to the mega-scale plant, addressing the unique risks of batching and crushing operations.
• Update existing safety plans regularly to address new technologies, equipment, or processes that may be implemented in the plant.
• Conduct risk assessments across all plant areas, from concrete production and crushing processes to material handling, transportation, and storage. This includes evaluating machinery, equipment, and operational risks.
• Ensure that appropriate engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE) are implemented to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure adherence to Neom Assurance standards related to batching and crushing plants.
• Develop and deliver extensive safety training programs for plant employees at all levels. This includes training in safe operations, emergency response, equipment operation, and first aid.
• Establish ongoing safety training and awareness programs, ensuring that employees are kept up-to-date on new safety protocols and technology.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, machinery (crushers, mixers, conveyors, etc.), and work environments to identify potential hazards.
• When unsafe conditions are identified, create and oversee corrective action plans, ensuring proper follow-through and closure of safety issues.
• Lead investigations for all accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe events to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents and accidents, ensuring timely reporting to the relevant authorities and company management.
• Establish emergency response procedures for a variety of possible incidents, including fires, explosions, chemical spills, equipment malfunctions, and natural disasters.
• Regularly conduct safety drills for emergency scenarios, ensuring all workman understand evacuation procedures and emergency protocols.
• Lead by example, fostering a strong safety-first culture across the entire workforce, ensuring all employees understand their role in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Promote a proactive approach to safety by encouraging workers to report hazards and unsafe behaviour’s immediately.
• Regularly engage with workman to discuss safety concerns, suggestions, and improvements.
• Ensure that all safety-related documents are organized and accessible, including incident reports, safety audits, risk assessments, training records, and compliance reports.

• To provide advice, guidance, and support to all personnel including, Managers and engineers at all levels on all matters relating to Safety, Health and Environment in the project ensure that leadership is always innovative, cutting edge, yet practical and compliant.
• To develop and maintain excellent communications with all levels of staf providing advice, guidance, support and management assistance in a timely and quality manner.
• Ultimately responsible for timely delivery of all related matters ensuring continuous alignment with strategies relating to Safety, Health and Environment in the projects.

• STOP any work that is considered unsafe and represents a safety hazard to themselves, the contractor or others that could be exposed to the risk.
• Ensure continuous improvements in safety performance is achieved by developing, reviewing and implementing efective, workable cost-efective safety processes and procedures; and by assisting in developing company expertise in safety management and strategic safety thinking.
• Receive output data from Contractors site check systems and prepare monthly performance reports covering health, safety and environmental issues and to implement and monitor improvement plans to address problem areas as appropriate.

• Assist/develop Project HSE Plan in compliance with Qatar Legal and client requirements and in
addition to this develop/assist for project specific plans such as Lifting Operation Plan, Traffic
management plan, Security management plan, Emergency preparedness and response plan, Heat
stress management plan etc. identified in operational HSE risk control measures under QCS 2014.
• Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review, and
auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and
provides for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
• Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of
complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Assists the Commercial, Engineering, and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all

• Oversee road design development (initial and/or variations) to maintain the safety of construction activities and end road users.
• Review and endorse site team for Trafic Diversion Plans and method statements as they apply to works adjacent to live trafic flows
• Supervise works on-site to maintain compliance with agreed trafic management arrangements, focusing on the safety of workers and road users
• Coordinate all Road Safety Audit activity on project sites in support of design development, construction and hand-over of completed works

With the commissioning of LLDPE and LDPE plants at Jamnagar along with its existing PE Plants at other manufacturing sites, my core responsibilities are detailed below but not limited to:
•Support the development of OHS programs.

As an EHS coordinator, my core responsibilities include the following but not limited to:
•Disseminate and Communicate L&T ECCD EHS Policy, EHS Management System requirements to site personnel.
•Provide necessary advice, information and support in the effective implementation of the EHS Management System requirements and this EHS plan.
•Updating the EHS Plan to the requirements of the activities being carried out when there is a revision.
•Plan and conduct Internal EHS training programs, initiate drive to promote EHS awareness and performance.
•Carry out EHS inspection of Work Area, Work Method, etc. as per the ISO requirement.
•Advising line management in preparing Environment, Health and Risk Assessment (EHSRA) for all routine / non routine activities.
•Conduct investigation of all Incidents / dangerous occurrences & recommend appropriate corrective measures.
•Convene EHS Committee meeting & minute the proceedings for circulation & follow-up action.
