I established and led “Petroleum Engineering Information Protection Team”. It is a team that works with all Petroleum Engineering departments within Saudi Aramco and advises computer groups in order to enable Petroleum Engineering business processes. The team manages a well-controlled access to Petroleum Engineering data in different repositories while maintaining data confidentiality, Integrity and availability.
The team carries several tasks and activities under the following areas:
• Develop and implement Information protection guidelines, frameworks, processes, & Procedures.
• Risk Assessment and Business continuity planning.
• Compliance management
• RBAC management
• Provide reliable support to upstream users.
• Increase the awareness of information protection among upstream users.
• Promote best practices for all data-related activities among upstream users
• Data Leakage Prevention.
• Unstructured data management and security.
Initiate and manage software solutions development projects. This job responsibility included project management tasks as well as requirements elicitation, producing system specification, develop initial system design, provide technical support to programmers during the coding phase, evaluate the system through comprehensive QAT, and facilitate User Acceptance Test, develop user manual and project documentation.
We also handle second line support and perform periodic evaluation to identify possible changes/enhancements.
In addition to that, we do review, monitor and contribute in the data models quality, data consistency, data integrity, and the business intelligence components.
We also support users and application in Drilling & Workover, Exploration, Petroleum Engineering, Unconventional Resources and other fields within oil & gas industry (Upstream)
Manage and lead the work in several areas related to IT services. My job responsibilities included:
• Planning and implementing of additions, deletions, and major modification to IT.
• Implement network security
• Oversees the administration and maintenance for New Horizon's infrastructure and directing activities when necessary
• Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving and disaster recovery and provide expert support when needed
• Work with project teams to help implement internal systems.
• Manage help desk activities and respond to escalated help desk issues.
• Deliver IT Service as per Service catalog and service delivery policies
