• Managing all core network planning and projects activities to ensure consistency and continuity across the business.
• Cooperating with supplier and vendors on network requirements to support the agreed network operational and expansion demands.
• Producing switch drawings and blue prints...etc., demonstrating requirements against current and future business expansion.
• Maintaining and carrying out changes to all plans and blue prints for internal reference as well as for the planning and safety municipalities.
• Carrying out quality checks on all installations Supervise contractors and vendors on all Core nodes installations to ensure that they comply with Zain SD agreed plans, policies and procedures.
• Performing theoretical studies, calculations for subscriber and node traffic profiles.
• Cooperating closely with internal customers to ensure that planned outages to networks “minimize the risk of destabilization to the business”.
• Performing urgent studies to change the network design to meet raised ad hoc services and capacities.
• Supervising and getting involved in trail projects for new technologies.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements on Information Security.
• Ensuring continuous 24/7 network supervision of all network nodes and segments.
• Providing 1st line O&M including accurate and timely problem remedy, escalation, and resolution of any failures in the shortest possible time and within set reaction and remedy time targets applicable to various fault categories.
• Participating in executing network upgrades projects initiated by projects planning, control and optimization department as per requirements.
• Informing affected parties (customer care, interconnecting operators, and similar) of network service outages and degradations (whether planned or not), their extent and anticipated duration as well as of eventual remedy.
• Performing assessment, implementation and review of change requests in accordance with change management processes.
• Gathering statistical network performance data for performance analysis.
• Monitoring alarms and performance information on 24x7 basis Designing, coding, testing and documenting
• Performing initial analysis to identify, follow by restoration if possible (1st line of support).
• Performing periodical network health checks to determine network status.
• Creating and updating/managing trouble tickets for any detected problem.
• Cooperating effectively with network services engineers to achieve minimum down time and assist with third party in the implementation of maintenance, expansion, upgrade activities.
• Performing escalation and notification to keep management and other business units informed during system outages.
• Ensuring proper work progress, shift handover, data communication, and team work spirit.
• Assisting operation team in process improvement and ongoing development of tools and system.
• Performing single-site testing and measurements collection.
• Conducting Cluster drive testing and measurements collection.
• Coordinating with the optimization engineers of Radio Network for rectifying radio network problems and improving the network performance and quality.
• Executing data service testing and measurements (Drive & Stationary).
• Performing specific field measurements when reported complaints are suspected to be related to field RF issues.
• Performing Site survey.
• Preparing and submit the measurement data and reports within the pre-defined time frame.
