Project Engineer/Manager - Electricity Transmission Grid Substations (Client
Side) In my role as a Client-Side Project Engineer/Manager, I lead and
coordinate multiple teams—including planning and permit engineers,
consultant substation, protection, Scada engineers, Civil-MEP & Loss
prevention engineers—to effectively deliver electricity transmission grid
substations. I oversee various EPC contracts from the initial concept and design
phases through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities: Directing EPC contractors during procurement and
construction phases for primary and super substations; managing all aspects of
substation projects, including civil works, Building service GIS, MV/LV
switchgear electrical engineering, leading pre-tender activities such as technical
bid preparation, responding to RFQs, and participating in post-award kickoff
meetings, ensuring design verification (IFC and shop drawings), and planning
and monitoring long-lead procurement orders.
As a Project engineer Lead/Commissioning coordinator, I successfully
managed the design compliance & testing commissioning of multiple
substations (few renowned are Umm Al Houl power plant substation, AL
Kharsaah solar PV Plant (A utility scale power plant) substation, QP-Halul Island
substation, Subsea 220kv feeder). connected to the national grid, developing
and controlling the weekly Electricity commissioning program, managing both
monthly and yearly outage programs, and presenting detailed commissioning
plans to Kahramaa directors, managers, and key stakeholders. I achieved a
record-breaking highest number of primary substations commissioned in a
single financial year 2017.
Interface and coordination: As KCT lead from TA to ENA-Kahramaa, managing
very complex cross functional interface and coordination with substation O&M
teams, Protection teams, condition monitoring teams, and system control for
NOSP approvals, permit issuance, onsite inspections and testing and
commissioning of primary and super substations.
Design & tendering: managing multiple consultants staff, to develop BCR
received from planning, conducting feasibility, upstream feed SLD,
configuration, Budget approvals, tender document preparation SOW, Technical
specification, HSE and QUALITY annexure, committee review and coordination
with GTC.

Etihad Towers and Car Park Project, Airport T2.
As the Construction Manager for the Etihad Towers project -MEP -Fire & LP,
Utilities, I oversaw the construction of multiple high-rise towers and car park
facilities for Etihad Airways and airport staff accommodation. My responsibilities
encompassed the entire project construction lifecycle, from land allotment EPC
phase, through to successful third-party testing, commissioning, and final
handover. In my role as an EPC Construction Manager -MEP -Fire &LP-Utilities, I
effectively managed a team of Plumbing firefighting, HVAC and electrical site
engineers and supervisors, ensuring effective site implementation with seamless
coordination in engineering, procurement, and on-site installation. I prioritized
QA/QC practices to validate both materials and workmanship, reporting near
miss and any other LTI, controlling and measuring subcontractors performance
giving feedback, overall project progress reporting & contributing my best to the
projects overall success. I lead the engineering and procurement for the installation of underground
water transmission spanning 3 to 4 utilizing and materials. This role provided me with valuable experience in civil works
road profile drawings. I also manage construction of large concrete water
storage tanks, and large TSD Also, I
engineered and constructed a large Pump room with Water, wastewater, Fire

As Senior projects Engineer/construction manager for onsite EPCM for an awarded project, Multiple high-rise towers-G+M+17 floor (for Etihad airways next to Abu Dhabi terminal 2, the client was Al DAR properties PJSC -Abu Dhabi. The role was to deliver the MEP, Power, and Drainage infrastructure construction of complete project.
Leading the team of PE& SE with large labour force on site to erect -install and commissioned all MEP systems of 5 towers, Pumping station of drainage system and large common tanks. reporting and updating cost to complete, updating procurement register, Managing onsite QA/QC inspections from client / consultants representatives .Successfully completed a large marina-beach resort power and utilities infrastructure project execution / construction under Six construct as Main contractor, The package consist of large concrete Tank ( combination of multiple tanks -Fire and irrigation water tank, sewage collection tank, etc), 2.5 KM water transmission line -DI to non-insulated HDPE 600/450/200.with multiple valve and expansion joint chambers in line with ADWEA / TRANSCO guidelines. The role was to manage MEP, Water (T&D) projects, District cooling line projects, and above miscellaneous electromechanical scope for detail engineering, preparation and submittal of detail shop drawings, procurement, and erection -construction on site till client consultants product/ project work validation.

As service Engineer -Mechanical .the role was customer focused, working from central workshop facility, receiving the small or medium size water pumps above ground mounted general type, underground borewell vertical pumps, and specialized sea water pumps, air compressors and DG sets for regular break down or service maintenance .

as Graduate engineer trainee / management trainee i was inducted to an initial rotation of few major petrochemical plants, Olefin, EOG, than to polymer div HDPE, LDPE and Granulation plant maintenance section .finally landed in central RE-( rotating equipment maintenance section ) .
the learning and adapting of vibration monitoring and analysis as a part of condition monitoring and maintenance planning process .selected for critical machine vibration analysis . main crack gas compressors ( centrifugal -rotary turbo driven high speed machines), Also witnessed daily condition monitoring rounds of one of worlds largest reciprocating multistage compressor -clarke Durgeon installed in LDPE high pressure tech ( approx 1200 Kg/ cm2 reactor entry), complete plant consist of high pressure tubes as piping .with metal gasket and blow disc system .
even thou an old technology from shell but great mechanical engineering learning.
i learned vibration as machine language by means they tell us about their problems . i was part of transition from manual logs to digital recording of vibrations with latest tech probes and recorder .later on feeding data of all machines to a software which compare actual parameters with old new machine parameters to give an anlysis of machine condition
