Performed duties as Manager Financial Analysis & Planning, and was responsible for providing financial expertise and analysis which are relevant to planning, controlling and reporting of financial performance in view of the set business plan and financial targets. Essential responsibilities included:
• Develop and implement financial structure and reporting according to global standards, amend ERP system as appropriate.
• Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts.
• Ensure effective internal control system (ICS) is implemented as per corporate standards in finance and other related functions in company.
• Cash flow planning as well as investment and financing strategy and activity planning.
• Works with the CFO in identifying and defining Financial Key Performance Indicators to measure the achievement of respective companies’ business plans and target.
• Forecasting and performing financial evaluation; to provide consolidated reports showing business performance from period - to - period, and its impacts.
• Provides analysis on major streams of revenue which can be relevant to set business objectives among respective companies.
• Collates necessary data for putting across cost modeling templates; Provides analysis and reports on accurate data for cost purposes, incorporating Mergers and Acquisitions support.
• Collaborating with the CFO and concerned Managers in order to lead the budgeting process, execute and communicate initiatives within the organization that raise awareness of its financial targets.
• Generates and analyzes periodic reports (. weekly, monthly, yearly) and reviews it in order to ensure that the correct revenue for the period is achieved including accrual files.
• Prepares base files, P&L and Balance Sheet for periodic forecasts and budgets which serve as pertinent reference for Group /Board management reviews to support business decision making.
• Maintains up-to-date database of reported financial statements to generate trend reports.
• Analyzes variances period-to-period and ensures correctness of financial versus non-financial data.
• Leads, motivates and empower the staff through effective and open communication, excellent leadership, regular performance feedback and team building in order to maximize customer and employee satisfaction, and team productivity.
• Contributes to assessing qualifications during Functional recruitment screening.
• Identifies training needs and mentoring activities, ensuring that subordinates have received the necessary support to achieve standard performance and support succession plan.
• Developing audit strategies, audit plans and formally conducting the statutory financial audits in compliance with the statutory requirements & International Auditing Standards.
• Conducting external audit of listed entities, private & public unlisted companies, not for profit organization, NGOs, hospitals, coopertative banks and societies.
• Checking the compliance with the code of Corporate Governance, relevant applicable laws.
• Designing and implementation of audit test programs to determine the effectiveness and sufficiency of internal controls and compliance to available policies and procedures.
• Assisted in setting up a functionally operative Internal Audit Department w.r.t establishing, maintaining and updating internal audit policies and procedures, with core responsibilities of supervision, direction & review of the engagement team and work performed.
• Obtaining a thorough understanding of the nature, the business and regulatory environment in which the organization operates, SWOT analysis, identification of critical success factors & key performance indicators, initial overall analytical review, understanding major business processes, analysis and testing of internal controls and detailed testing of significant account balances and transactions.
• Reviewing the audit files(planning files, working paper files, & reporting files) and completing the engagement documentation.
• Developing audit opinions & recommendations for improving internal controls, their operating efficiency, and adequacy.
• Report audit findings and recommendations to appropriate management based on the results of regularly scheduled audits, non-scheduled audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management.
• Conducting the opening & closing meetings with auditees and the senior management.
• Providing comprehensive business risk assessments resulting in an internal audit plan that focused on risk management and identification of profit improvement opportunities.
