• Manage the legal department and participate, as and when required, in the development of the legal policies and procedures framework, to enhance the effectiveness of the Legal Counsel Function, in line with legislative requirements and the Group‘s strategy and direction.
• Review regulatory and legal requirements of the Group and recommend any required actions to ensure the Group‘s compliance; and follow-up on any actual or potential breaches effectively
• Provide legal advice on formulation of business policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigation of legal risks.
• Follow-up on court cases with external counsels, and assist the business in connection with notarization, in coordination with the Government Relations department.
• Assist in negotiating contracts for litigation and legal representation along with outside legal counsel to obtain external advice on legal issues, review quality, facilitate per-trial work and manage risks associated with external legal representation.
• Coordinate with concerned departments and other parties in evaluation of potential litigation; develop recommendations for appropriate proceedings including prosecution, dismissal or settlement of such litigation, based upon Group‘s policy.
• Investigate the robustness of legal claims and complaints against the Group and Its subsidiaries, to ensure that top management is made aware of all aspects of the legal claims and complaints and the associated risk.
• Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.

• Provide legal advice on formulation of business policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigation of legal risks.
• Provide counsel and advice on legal matters pertaining to franchise/ concession agreements, leases, construction/consultancy contracts, commercial contracts, purchase agreements, licensing agreements, insurance, property matters, company law, labour law etc. to ensure that management receives the required legal advice.
• Assist in negotiating contracts for litigation and legal representation along with co-counsel; liaise with outside legal counsel to obtain external advice on legal issues, review quality, facilitate pretrial work and manage risks associated with external legal representation.
• Coordinate with concerned departments and other parties in evaluation of potential litigation; develop recommendations for appropriate proceedings including prosecution, dismissal or settlement of such litigations, based upon Group’s policy.
• Investigate the robustness of legal claims and complaints against the Group and Its subsidiaries, to ensure that top management is made aware of all aspects of the legal claims and complaints and the associated risk.
• Participate in the drafting, negotiating of contracts between the organization and its vendors, consultants, contractors and customers (master developers, building owners, and individual tenants) and submit to Senior Legal Counsel for finalization.
• Identify areas of potential risk / exposure and ensure that safety clauses are built into the contract to protect the organization’s interests.

 R&D for legislative process: keeping abreast with the legislative developments & reporting on the new legislative or procedural outcomes
 Drafted and delivered legal opinions & solutions for complex legal structures in areas like: Civil Law, Criminal Law, Arbitration, Real Estate, Labour, Family & Commercial Law.
