As a tour director, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of all paper work and logistics prior to the arrival of the tour group, arranging accommodation at all hotels and transportation at all sites during the tour, and booking/confirming all domestic and international flights.
At the airport, I meet and welcome the group, facilitate their immigration check-in procedures and their suitcase collection. As we proceed to the hotel, I brief the guests with the appropriate information about the country, traditions, the itinerary and the hotel outlets and facilities. At the hotel, I check guests in and make sure that the rooms allocated meet requests and requirements.
Utilizing my degree in Egyptology, I guide the group amongst different sites, according to their pre-booked itinerary; but I also provide unusual and unexpected information and I am pleased to answer questions.
Moreover I offer guests optional tours as well as recommend, organize and escort them to the best shopping areas and to restaurants that serve both local and international cuisine. I use all available resources to resolve any guest dissatisfaction and find alternative solutions that meet needs and expectations. I attend to guests in the event of sickness and ensure that they receive the proper medical attention.
