• Supervising all critical parameters and taking corrective actions; handling entire plant commissioning & Pre-commissioning activities
• Looking after the preparation for pre-commissioning & commissioning activities.
• Overseeing entire gamut of pre-commissioning & commissioning operations inclusive of flushing, nitrogen purging, air blowing, steam blowing, pressure testing and utility systems, refractory dry out of heaters, reactor and regenerator..
• Instrumentally reviewing PFD & P&ID according to the modification & expansion; ensuring safe running of the plants by following safety systems and procedures at all times
• Carrying out the routine/on-stream changeover of the pumps, cleaning of strainers, etc. as per the SOPs’
• Ensuring timely completion of shift log book containing comprehensive details of plant conditions, details of valid work permits, status of housekeeping, areas of concern and hand over the job to the incoming shift.
• Working in coordination with:
o Service Departments to ensure plant equipments are released for maintenance following the standard procedures
o Shift Supervisors and Panel Operators during normal startup, shutdown and emergency situations
o Licenser during their visit
o Construction, Mechanical, Process, Inspection & Instruments Depts. w.r.t. erection and piping of VBU & Merichem Treating Unit & equipments
• Handling wet gas compressor & heat pump compressor start-up & shut-down activities
• Providing speedy resolution at the time of plant emergencies.
• Accountable for proper maintenance of plant and machineries through the look, listen, feel techniques.
